The Flat Earther next door: These are the US states with highest share of conspiracy theorists, based on residents' internet search history... so do YOU live in a flat or round state? Alaskans were the most interested in 'Flat Earth' theories, Google searches show New Jersey natives entertained 'Flat Earth' claims least, per same search data
Earth's greatest minds have known our world is round since at least as far back as the day Pythagoras made his calculations in ancient Greece over 2,000 years ago.
But as you might have guessed from fighting with relatives and old friends on Facebook, as many as 10 percent of Americans still believe the earth is flat, according to survey data compiled in 2021.
If you're looking for a place offline to get away from conversations about 'Flat Earth' conspiracy theories (or maybe where to go to join your fellow true believers), a new analysis of Google searches across all 50 US states might help.
Die-hard 'Flat Earthers' may want to bundle up before relocating to Alaska, whose residents searched the most for information on the widely discredited theory.
And those looking to move on from the 'Flat Earth' debate entirely may want to find space in the densely populated state of New Jersey, which had the lowest interest in researching the topic online per 10,000 residents.
Find out below if you live in a 'Flat State' or a 'Round State.'

HP Lovecraft discovered the Ice Wall at the Edge of the World before Byrd. Cthulhu lives on the other side.
SO FUNNY!
If you had read a little further you could have saved yourself some embarrassment.
Now you look even more ignorant.
And you think you're going to teach me something?
You're the smart one, figure it out.
Your prostate?
Yep...prostate.
It was actually promulgated by a goon from the NYT named Thomas Friedman in his first book, later writing a series of books. All are based on a leftist’s view of world policy, economics, communication, etc. Ubama and crew just gleamed onto it because the initial premise of the book’s name could be used to demean conservatives in yet another way. Those with whom Democrats disagree.
This is an excellent article explaining why calling flat earthers “stupid” is a really bad idea.

Short version: If science wants to earn people’s respect it needs to fully respect and understand views that it rejects.
Go straight west, you are never turning, you return to your starting position.
Show on a flat model how this happens.

North is magnetic center. East or West...same path (circular). We have the luxury of the Panama Canal now.

Of course the problem with that is it has the south pole as a HUGE long path.
Meanwhile the Great Circles exist.

This can only happen on a globe. You idiot.
Don’t defend stupid.
We discuss climate change nonsense and reparations here—and show why it makes no sense.
That sharpens our debating skills—and sometimes we learn excellent new points from each other.
Hurling insults helps no-one.
You understand that with even LORAN equipment those turns would be detectable.
And even on a flat model it makes zero logical sense.
You just want to ridicule too.
It’s a normal, level picture aimed at the horizon. You’re trying to explain away the obvious by inventing one more story that you hope helps. Although why pointing a camera up would create the illusion of a curved surface is just one more mystery of the world of Flat Earth Physics.
You aren’t serious.
You failed the task.

You are never turning.
Show on a flat model how that could be.
You showed turns, lots of turns.
Turns that even LORAN would show happening.
