It seems the MSM is starting to make large hints that Covid amd the mandates and even shutdowns may return in time for 2024 elections.
In 2020, the vast majority went along with shutdowns, mask mandates, and even vaccine mandates.
I believe a lot of people feel some regret for their level of compliance in 20 and 21.
So, make your predictions of how the population will respond if the MSM Nad government narrative in 2024 mirrors that of 2020.
1. Our technology has already advanced to the point that we can accomplish all the tasks without any company office space at all. Any CEO who has t figures that out after 3+ years is a moron.
2. If you need fewer employees due to automation, then what difference does it make whether they’re working in an office or at home? Employees working in offices have been laid off from their jobs for as long as I’ve been alive.
Well done, it killed my friend.
“Not so much resistance as ignoring.
The question will be enforcement”.
Thread winner.
I’ll be flinging it with you, I will not comply
Then why isn't Elon Musk a fan of it at all?
I realize your point. It's possible to do work at home. But it's not ideal.
There are any number of reasons why his particular line of business isn't conducive to it. But he has a hard case to make if he's had people working from home for several years and the company is still doing fine.
There's always the possibility that he has a conflict of interest in the matter, too. That's the case with the CEOs of the big investment banks in New York City. They aren't forcing people back to the office because they really need them to work in the office. They're forcing them back because the investment banks have underwritten billions of dollars of commercial loans on properties in New York City, and the banks need to ensure that the property owners remain solvent by keeping their tenants in business.
I will comply. Our elitist masters are smarter than us.
ha ha had ya going there !!!
He isn't tolerating it. No discussion there. If you want to work from home, you can find another job.
I don't think he has a conflict of interest. He was never a fan of WFH. He was a big opponent of coronavirus lockdowns and even challenged the state of California when they tried to shut down his Tesla plant for an extended period of time.
Now we have data that productivity suffers when you work from home.
We live in the land of freedom—as long as you obey every whim of the Cabal....
So sorry
“productivity suffers when you work from home”
This is a very controversial subject—which differs industry by industry and even company by company.
The details matter.
Before I retired for my employer the dregs worked in the office and the talented folks worked at home.
That was because the company couldn’t risk losing the subject matter experts that made the company successful.
They didn’t care if the dregs quit.
If it works for your company. Each situation is different.
Great!
But it's costing companies money.
It will never again, at least for 50 years, be the lengths that President Trump forced on the country. People will not comply this time.
Oh shut up.
Poo flingers unite!
I ignored the mandates except I only wore a mask three times in three years. Those were doctor’s visits. I boycotted every other institution. I kept Amazon busy.
I’ve been saying from the beginning that it is just another level of conditioning that started with the flu vax, but taken to another level. The sheep complied and here we are again.
This is supposed to be a valid stastitical sample for a study like this? LOL.
Why wouldn't it be valid? It sounds right to me. You are 18% less productive working from home.
Can you show me a study with data showing that you are just as productive working from home as if you're working in an office?
Right. Manufacturing processes -- and even many design functions -- aren't suited for WFH arrangements at all.
For customer-facing functions and many analytical processes, working in an office is rarely necessary.
I was working on a time-critical assignment yesterday for a client presentation next week. Between Google Earth aerial imagery and highway data available in my project files and online from USDOT and State DOTs, I was able to get everything I needed for this right from my desk in my home office. It's ludicrous for people in my line of work to go to an office for work ... especially when you consider that I probably wouldn't have done the work on a Saturday at all if I had to travel to an office to get it done.
