If Covid shutdowns and mandates return in 2024, what will be the conformity VS resistance level?
Chat

It seems the MSM is starting to make large hints that Covid amd the mandates and even shutdowns may return in time for 2024 elections.

In 2020, the vast majority went along with shutdowns, mask mandates, and even vaccine mandates.

I believe a lot of people feel some regret for their level of compliance in 20 and 21.

So, make your predictions of how the population will respond if the MSM Nad government narrative in 2024 mirrors that of 2020.

Headlines like this are the reason why I support the “lazy” employees on this issue.

It depends on the corporation. If I'm serving on AB InBev, I'll side with the employees. But if it's Tesla/X(formerly Twitter), of course I'll side with the CEO.

Elon Musk is a rare CEO who has a vision and a plan to benefit humanity.

Everyone else are a bunch of @$$holes who wants to play games.

That’s what I would expect to hear from a cult member talking about the cult leader.

I have no time for a CEO who has “a vision and a plan to benefit humanity.” I want a CEO who can run the business he is responsible for managing.

If Trump convicted it will be Newsom & some “Republican-to-be-named-later”. Wooky is too lazy to even to even put on a pretense of running for office.

I believe the compliance rate will be similar to the first go round. Most people would rather go along to get along.

The compliance rate will be high because there’s rarely a downside to complying with a stupid mask mandate.

I would also point out that compliance should be 100% in a business establishment no matter how idiotic the mandate seems.

The new variant hasn’t really been around long enough for EDs to show.

Erectile Dysfunction?

Good point. Leave politics out of it. Force people back to the office. Then things will go smoothly.

But America is divided right now.

I will do more than fling poop.

Poop is too slow and doesn't have the density I'm looking for.

I think people will simply ignore the dictates.

They aren’t the brightest bulbs on the tree. I doubt if they know how things really work. They think people are interchangeable. The American people are creative, our side is hard working, innovative, and require freedom to continue that.

I stand with you! (and will act precisely how I did during the Fauci Flu debacle). However, I expect that tens of millions of irrationally frightened, woefully ignorant and breathtakingly naive American women and "men" will do exactly what ego-driven politicians, unelected bureaucrats and the completely discredited "medical experts" tell them to act.

And this time around, whenever the opportunity presents itself (usually when a mask-nazi attempts to bully me), I will ridicule and shame them to their masked face -- particularly the "men" -- for being the sniveling, frightened, bullying cowards they publicly announce themselves to be. I have absolutely had it with this crap. I'm stocking up with my Ivermectin prescription, Quercitin with Zinc, and vitamins C and D, so I'm ready for it. Cheers!

I think there will be several states led by Florida and Texas that simply refuse to comply.

Not saying I approve of it but I also think it will lead to violence against the people pushing the lockdowns.

I’ll look at moving to Uganda.

Look for RonD to surrender and turn on the people of FL.

Other than seeing friends less than normal (because they all have husbands with compromised immune systems) I still saw my immediate family as much as always. We didn’t mask around each other.

We live very, VERY rural - and still saw our immediate neighbors as much as always - and we didn’t mask around each other.

Beau and I went to a big ‘shindig’ in February - at the height of all the ‘panic.’ There were over 100 people there - no one was masked, and people came and went all night long - it was in a rural bar with snowmobile clubs passing through. There was ONE male toilet and ONE female toilet.

If they pull this again, I can’t imagine my life being any different than it was.

I used curbside pick-up for groceries - again, no mask. I don’t think I went into a store for 2 years because I did not want to wear a mask. I had to mask for a routine VA Hospital appointment during that time, but I mean, it WAS a hospital with sick people in it.

Neither of us got sick. No one in my family (Vaxed or not) got sick. None of my friends or neighbors got sick.

For me, it was pretty much a non-event other than not being able to be with my Dad when he died on May 31, 2020. And for that reason ALONE - I will NOT comply in ANY way, ever again.

Leave politics out of it. Force people back to the office. Then things will go smoothly.

Forcing people back to the office after they’ve been working from home for 3+ years is ludicrous — especially after their government leaders and employers have already conditioned them to see their fellow workers as biohazards and their workplaces as comparable to toxic waste dumps.

Fair enough. If that is what the corporation told their employees, so be it.

In the meantime, I live in the "real world" and I have to go to work in person. And yes, I have to interact with people.

yes SPSX goes up when stocks (specifically the S&P 500) goes down, and it does it by a factor of 3.

If they try it again we need to be prepared to round them all up and do the right thing. Lots of rope, lots of shovels.

I never shut my company down under any of those stupid lockdown orders. And I warned fellow business owners way back in March 2020 that if they sent their employees to work from home, they’d never get back to “normal” again.

You're right about that. But I think eventually the employers will have the upper hand. Our technology is advancing to the point that we will need less employees to accomplish all the tasks due to automation.
