It is becoming obvious to 'me' that abortion is the one thing that is making elections these days. I think this wedge issue may in fact be the one issue that will keep Trump or the GOP nominee out of office.
Is there enough support on the right to bend one the issue?
I think we have seen some Divergence of opinions here on Free Republic.
Some Freepers say we should not push for abortion restrictions because it will hurt Republicans politically.
Other Freepers say, abortion is wrong, abortion is murder, and they don’t care about the political implications of any of this.
Abortion is at the States.
That is reasonable, from a Federal level. We could do a Constitutional Amendment, but that is very long range.
why dont you save everybody the time and just posts you are for abortion. calling a table discussion hinting that its “The Best Way” to get the Right back in the big chair makes you appear to be a shallow, one issue voter.
most people, unless they are trying to suck up to their partners, dont care about abortion because 80% of normal people dont need them!!
I think it will be one of the things.
It is possible to support overturning Roe AND trusting the states will promote the will of their citizens.
But there are many who will die on this hill. And they will take the rest of the party with it.
Trump alone would motivate the Dems to action. Local debates on abortion will motivate more.
The issue is an actual cultural divide. It is a firm of genocide.
Two democrats abort a baby for every single independent or republican.
The way to frame thus issue is simple. Democrats have aborted 58 million potential legal voters. Republicans about 22 million.
Every abortion reduces the number of Americans by birth.
Had the democrats NOT PROMOTED Abortion they would have won every single presidential election since Ronald Reagan!
A smart campaign commercial would be to point out that since 1972 every election has potentially cost both parties seats. This is a reverse attack on abortion designed to challenge people on the affect abortion has on politics.
They aren’t the major issues mobilizing the base for the Democrats. Right now Joe Biden has one issue that’s working for him and that’s abortion.
Trump is the one thing that will prevent Trump from getting back into office.
Quite frankly, Satan has so thoroughly invaded the minds of people in this country that I doubt we will ever return to God’s standards.
Should candidates still stand firm on a pro-life stance? Absolutely.
So every two years, we have an election about abortion?
Put abortion on the middle burner for the time being, and stress keeping the First Amendment pure. First things first.
If “they” succeed in squelching the Gospel message — and that is occurring every day — there’s a lower chance people’s hearts will be changed. Abortion (for or against) is a heart thing.
No Trump. Compromise on abortion.
IMHO what the GOP should always do is put it back on the Dims. Make the Dims state why they support "abortion" even after birth. The GOP should articulate the brutal steps of a partial-birth abortion and make the Dims state why they support a procedure that involves having to hold the baby's arms and legs still and puncture his skull to literally suck his brains out. The GOP should ask the Dims if it would be okay to do those kind of things to a puppy dog --- if not then why is it okay to do it to a baby? The GOP should state over and over and over that at one time the Dims said blacks too were less than human beings, just property, and if history shows the Dims were wrong about that then the Dims are wrong about a baby even with arms and legs already developed being "just a clump of cells".
That way the pro-life position isn't won over most people is because it's never described in detail for the gruesome barbaric thing that it really is.
There’s a reason why the Founding Fathers prevented them from voting. Women’s suffrage was the beginning of the end of the Republic.
I have stated my position.
Compromising with radical morons is what has DESTROYED this country.
Go back to Dem Underground.
That is the key. No federal office seeker should make abortion an issue, since it s now officially a state issue. Let each state decide. Remember, we lost the red wave in 2022 not because of Dobbs but because traitor Graham set everyone’s hair on fire with his demonic move to “pass a national ban on abortion.” Until he said that, the issue had died down enough that it was not a major voting issue for Congress.
Trump’s recently stated position is effectively “Safe, Legal, & Rare” — rape, mother’s life, etc
The Rats got out the young female vote in Kansas. They’ll repeat that and ballot harvesting in 2024.
Follow God or follow the world. He decides on the blessings for obedience, the world doesn’t.

Speaking of Satan ...
Our church has VBS two weeks ago. One six-year-old boy asked his teacher, “Does God love Satan?” SIX YEARS OLD, and a budding theologian.
