Sharon Osbourne reveals she vomited for two WEEKS after losing 30Ibs with controversial weight-loss jab Ozempic: 'You throw up all the time'

Sharon Osbourne has reflected on the uncompromising side-effects of controversial weight-loss drug Ozempic after losing more than 30Ibs while using it over a four month period.

The so-called 'miracle' drug was originally marketed to treat Type-2 diabetes, but has seen a spike in popularity over recent months due to its remarkable impact on weight-loss.

Public figures including actress Amy Schumer and Twitter CEO Elon Musk have previously admitted to using the drug, but Osbourne, 70, says regular use comes with an associated risk.

'It’s different for everybody, but for me, the first few weeks was f***ing s**t because you just throw up all the time. You feel so nauseous,' the former X Factor panellist told the Club Random with Bill Maher podcast.

She added: 'After a couple of weeks, it goes, and then you’re just fine, you feel nothing. Just not hungry.'

While Osbourne avoided naming Ozempic directly, she quipped that it was the "the f***ing injection everybody takes,' prompting host Maher to refer to it as 'The Olympic.'

The TV personality admitted a lifelong struggle with her weight initially led to her the drug, but insisted she is no longer using it.

'Your stomach shrinks, and you change,' she said. 'I've been on it since December, but I came off it a couple of months ago.'

Speaking in May, Osbourne revealed she dropped 30 pounds over the course of four months after using the jabs, but felt nauseous everyday and insisted it was not a 'quick fix'.

During a discussion on US chat show The Talk, the TV personality shared her first-hand experience of the drug, after it was announced that its launch in the UK had been put on pause.

same thing recently kinda happened to me. My dosage was increased from .25 to .50.

I ended up with a gastro-intestinal challenge for about 15 days.
It was like going thru a colonoscopy prep. I also threw up anything i ate for a couple of days.
I was ok with eggs and meat, but other stuff ? forget it...out it came somewhere.

got thru it...finally. tuff playing golf wearing a diaper.

I lost 60 lbs since being diagnosed with Type II diabetes with diet, exercise and meds (metformin).

The doc added Ozempic about 6 weeks ago. I quickly lost another 10 and my lab numbers are great.

It did make me very queasy for the first few weeks. I got the unique experience of poking in a trash can at the base of the Eiffel Tower.

I'm feeling great now and losing 2 lbs per week.

My wife has come to loathe the side-effects of Ozempic. It delays the dumping of stomach contents which causes her a huge problem with a low blood glucose alert (type 1 diabetic on an insulin pump with continuous glucose monitor). She keeps some "rescue" powder (intra-nasal glucagon stimulator) if the delayed dump of stomach contents puts her at risk of a severe low blood sugar. The other side-effect is belching as she gets out of bed. The food sitting in her stomach is sometimes fermenting. It is medically induced indigestion.

Thanks for that. I have Type 2 also and am on metformin. I lost about 40 lbs through diet and exercise in the last 2 years but I have hit a wall and was considering talking to my doctor about Ozempic.

Ozempic is used by more and more "beautiful people" for weight loss. It's only the rich because a single pen (a one month supply) has a sticker price of $1,000 and most insurance plans won't cover it for weight loss.

I've been on it for a while for diabetes and luckily my plan only requires a small copay. I've never had any noteworthy side effects...but I have had some weight loss.
