Purchased 2 pair of Levi Denim Bermuda Shorts and received items on Saturday, July 22. Size was too large so repacked both pair of shorts with a written notice to AMAZON employees please note 2 pair in the box as AMAZON has only credited us for 1 pair online into our gift card receptacle. Shorts were returned to AMAZON vis UPS store in our neighborhood on Monday, July 24. On Wednesday, July 26 UPS website confirms package received at Shepherdsville KY AMAZON Returns Center. Meanwhile online our Amazon account still shows a credit for only 1 pair of shorts. Called AMAZON yesterday and spoke with a Filipino woman who took 20 minutes to tell me the credit will be given when they process my return. Said could take TWO WEEKS. Today I called AMAZON again and again got a Filipino woman who kept me on hold for 19 minutes then told me she couldn't find anyone to give me credit. As I began to explain to her what was going on, she disconnected the call. And we spend hundreds of dollars per month on Amazon. And they have no clue as to how to process a valid return from a repeat customer. A multi-billion dollar corporation.
In fact, sometimes I'll get two replacements for something and they won't even ask for the extra one back.
Nowadays you don't even have to box up your returns. Just take the merchandise to a local Kohls or any other retailer that participates in the Amazon returns program. I just have the return label scanned at the drop-off spot and drop my stuff off. Couldn't be easier.
Never had a problem. The return process at Amazon is usually very good.
I have returned a number of things to Amazon in the past, even dropping off a return once at a local Kohls store (it has an Amazon pick up and return desk in the store, staffed by Kohls employees). I have always got pretty prompt refunds.
But complaining doesn't solve problems. Intelligence does. What's your goal?
Get used to it. The days of free returns with these online retailers are going to come to an end in the not-too-distant future.
I don’t know what’s happening to you. I can only express my experience with Amazon.
Their customer service is the best. I’ve never had problems, in fact they’ve been excellent in backing up sales.
I have never, including recently, had problems returning items. Always worked well, even when I had to call and talk to someone in India. I did read that they just changed or are changing some return policies but have not encountered that yet.
True. This is why one should ALWAYS buy from Amazon Prime.
You get your product faster and returns/refunds faster.
I have found that the best way to return anything to Amazon is to elect to drop it off at a nearby Amazon Fresh store. Not only do they give you instant credit for the item along with a receipt, you also get a 10% discount coupon for groceries at Amazon Fresh.
I order everything from Walmart now and their customer service is excellent. Anything defective is reimbursed immediately and they always tell. me just to keep it. Very easy and stress free.
It takes a lot of $ for Bozos to float around on his monster yacht 🛥️
The girl peeked inside to make sure two were inside..and zipped the bag closed and thanked me.

This. I’ve always had the UPS clerk verify the return.
I doubt the OP had the UPS clerk steal one of the shorts, but I would take my receipt back to the location and see what they say.
It could very well be a UPS employee somewhere is wearing a nice pair of Levi Denim Bermuda Shorts.
Amazon has always gotten us refunds for stuff that they didn’t deliver or which wasn’t good.
So we can’t complain about that.
Recently, though, Amazon has been slimming down its delivery network to save money. This has resulted in all of our deliveries being dispatched from a big Amazon warehouse 45 miles away, instead of from their local warehouse 4 miles away.
They’re using independent contractor people for this last leg of deliveries, from shipping dock to destination. These are folks who are (for the most part) driving their own cars, picking up packages at the shipping dock 45 miles away... and driving the 45 miles (four state highways plus a big bridge) to bring us our stuff. We are almost always their last stop. Sometimes they get tired and just turn back to the warehouse ... about 15 or 20 percent of the stuff is therefore delayed... you can wait all day for it to arrive...once their little tracking map said “you are the next stop” and their icon showed right on top of us on their delivery map. Then, their icon moved back all 45 miles and 4 highways and the big bridge back to the loading dock. So we had waited from the initial dispatch at 10am to 10pm onlly to see our package returned to Amazon three counties away.
We’ve tried to find out why they aren’t dispatching from their local warehouse, but nobody at Amazon knows.
It doesn’t seem efficient to utilize small personal automobiles over such a long distance when one truck to their local warehouse would save them about 50 cars’ worth of mileage...?) this new system looks like it has to cost them a lot more than using their local warehouse
it is a mystery
I’ve had no problem
No Problem here. I take unwrapped item and their bar code on my iPhone to Kohls. Presto. Kohl’s worker wraps and sends it back. Account credited for next purchase.
The next morning an email from Amazon notified me the item was damaged in transit and undeliverable, and they would refund my credit card charge after I returned the item. I requested to speak to a representative and was called by Amazon, I asked how can I return an item that I never received, and per their email, was undeliverable. I asked for them to just send me another pump and keep the charge on my credit card.
They wanted to charge me for a second pump, and credit my card when the first pump was returned. After speaking to three different people, I was finally able to get them use some common sense and send me another pump and only charge me for one.
“As I began to explain to her what was going on, she disconnected the call. “
They can only stay on a call for X amount of minutes or they get dinged.
Gator fan?
Never had a problem returning things to Amazon.
Size too large. Sounds like you didn’t even try to make them fit. I would have made it a personal challenge to grow into them.
