Study accidentally proves man-caused global warming not provable

According to a study recently published in the journal Science, and latched onto by USAToday, more than 400,000 years ago, Greenland was actually green. Yes, scientists say, the massive island was an ice-free landscape, and was perhaps even covered with trees.

This is important to know, avers study co-lead author Paul Bierman of the University of Vermont, because it tells us "Greenland's ice sheet is fragile.” Bierman stated: "All by itself, during a warm period very similar to today, the ice sheet melted away 400,000 years ago. That was without fossil fuel emissions into the atmosphere.”

An ice sheet melted “all by itself?” Here is a “scientist” telling us that we must immediately change our lifestyles and bankrupt our economies to prevent something that occurred naturally and without human influence 400,000 years ago!

After Greenland’s ice sheet turned to water, whined the climate alarmists, the sea-level rose at least 5 feet.

This caused the fish-wrap factory USAToday to solemnly observe: “This means that the ice sheet on Greenland may be more sensitive to human-caused climate change than previously thought – and will be vulnerable to irreversible, rapid melting in the coming centuries.”

Say what?! No, it means that the ice sheet on Greenland was provably sensitive to non-human-caused climate change (warming)…and that the melting is reversible…because that is exactly what occurred after the last melting, and why Greenland is more frozen than green today!

For some reason, the birdcage liner USAToday chose University of Pennsylvania meteorologist Michael Mann, who was not part of the study and whose “hockey stick” graph of global warming has been widely discredited, to review the “study.” Mann obligingly expectorated: "We are coming perilously close to some potentially critical climate tipping points.”

The number of inputs and complex nature of climate is mind boggling.
The idea that these shitbirds have a perfect algorithm is laughable.

You don't even have to go back 400,000 years ago. Greenland was green enough 1,000 years ago for Erik the Red and his folks to colonize it.

Today's warming isn't unprecedented. It's reverting to what it's been like in the past many times over.

Most people are so ignorant of the geologic history of the Earth that they have no idea how much BS they are being fed. We are currently in a geologic Ice Age, but we are in an Interglacial Warm Period. When our current warm period ends it will be much colder. The following is something I put together as an "Intro to Temperature Change on Earth".

Earth historical temperature, ice ages, warm periods, glacial periods and interglacial warm periods: We are in an interglacial warming period in an ice age period.

The first graph shows the long-term average global temperature view of warm periods and ice ages:

Note that Ice ages vary in length, but 50 million years is pretty typical. Warm periods last much longer than ice ages.

The second graph shows glacial and interglacial warm period temperature variations for several cycles during the last 450,000 years. Our current Ice Age started about 10 million years ago, depending on exactly where you want to specify the start temperature from graph 1. Note that the temperature scale on graph 2 is the average temperature at the Antarctica glacier bore site, not the same as the average global temperature from graph 1):

The temperature for the current interglacial warm period from ice core data in Greenland is shown in graph 3. Note that the temperature always fluctuates and that the current temperature is not out of the normal range of fluctuations:

Isn’t it amazing?
They don’t even twist themselves into pretzels anymore, contorting logic and using circular reasoning.
Nope, they just take any data and simply interpret it to mean what they want it to, even if that information logically promotes the exact opposite of what they suggest.

It doesn’t matter the Climate Cult are moving forward with their plan to exterminate 7.5 billion people and enslave the rest

This paper will be gone before the weekend is over.
(Isn’t that how it usually works with a paper the does not follow the Lib plan?}

Accidently? Certain ‘stake holders’ want the opposite result in order to control the shot taking 🐑. So, these results will be tossed in the trash now?

In graph 3 above, the text on the left bottom says “End of the last Ice Age”. The correct terminology should say “End of the last Glacial Period”.

Truth is meaningless when compared to their political motivations.

Thanks for all the chartage. It would appear to some folks that ice ages are more the norm than current WEATHER. Pretty obvious where this is headed. And pretty obvious that not many of these assclowns have ever tried to work in extreme cold. It WILL kill you quicker than a hot day.

Curious. I wonder why it was called "Green-land."

“Climate change” has been going on a hell of a lot longer than Government Grant Man has inhabited the Earth.

Exactly! To be fair, I think Erik the Red promoted it perhaps a bit more than the reality, making it sound like it was more lush than it really was. But Greenland was definitely more green then and probably even greener still for the next few centuries (as the Medieval Warm Period kept getting warmer until it topped out around AD 1300). Then the Little Ice Age made Greenland inhabitable again, only for the Modern Warm Period to make Greenland livable again.

Anybody who thinks the Modern Warm Period is bad should look up what life was like in the cooling periods like the Little Ice Age or the Dark Age.

Ah yes, you can’t discuss climate fraud without Michael “Piltdown” Mann being involved.
