A New Mexico State University soccer player preparing for her junior year at the school died suddenly just days after her 20th birthday.
Thalia Chaverria was found unresponsive in her New Mexico home Monday morning and pronounced dead by emergency responders.
She turned 20 on July 2 and was set to begin her junior year at New Mexico State and her third season playing as a defender for the Aggies women’s soccer team.

I’ve had Covid and I have had the jab. My cardiologist insisted I have an echo. Found my global strain is off. Precursor to a cardio event. I suspect there are millions of people world wide who are ticking time bombs and should get checked. I will be on an aggressive drug protocol to get this fixed. Glad my cardiologist cares.

Global longitudinal strain is a diagnostic tool that appears to be more useful as a predictor/indicator of heart issues (like heart failure) than ejection fraction. You can have heart failure with a preserved ejection fraction. Sounds like the cardiologist is doing a good job.
