A Tennessee lawmaker issued a dire warning after claiming to have seen classified UFO footage that hasn't been released to the public.
Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., speculated extraterrestrial life forms could have technology that humanity "can't handle" during an appearance on the "Event Horizon" podcast.
"If they’re out there, they’re out there, and if they have this kind of technology, then they could turn us into a charcoal briquette," Burchett said.
"And if they can travel light years or at the speeds that we’ve seen, and physics as we know it, fly underwater, don't show a heat trail, things like that, then we are vastly out of our league."
Burchett is a sitting member on the House Oversight Committee, which has held hearings about potential threats of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), a government-derived term for UFOs.
"We can’t handle it," Burchett said during his podcast appearance about potential alien tech. "We couldn't fight them off if we wanted to. That's why I don't think they're a threat to us, or they would already have been."
His startling comments came after whistleblower David Grusch, a decorated Air Force veteran who is considered by many to be credible, came forward with claims the government has been running a secret UFO retrieval program.
The House Oversight Committee is preparing a hearing to discuss Grusch's unverified claims. Burchett and fellow Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida will lead the committee's investigation.

March 1504 lunar eclipse
EXCERPT:
On 30 June 1503, Christopher Columbus beached his two last caravels and was stranded in Jamaica. The indigenous people of the island welcomed Columbus and his crew and fed them, but after six months, they halted the food supply, dissatisfied with what the Spaniards could provide in trade.[3] Columbus had on board an almanac authored by Abraham Zacuto of astronomical tables covering the years 1475–1506.[4][5][6] Upon consulting the book, he noticed the date and the time of an upcoming lunar eclipse. He was able to use this information to his advantage. He requested a meeting for that day with the Cacique, the leader, and told him that God was angry with the local people’s treatment of Columbus and his men. Columbus said God would provide a clear sign of displeasure by making the rising full Moon appear “inflamed with wrath”.[7]
The lunar eclipse and the red Moon appeared on schedule, and the indigenous people were impressed and frightened. The son of Columbus, Ferdinand, wrote that the people:
….with great howling and lamentation they came running from every direction to the ships, laden with provisions, praying the Admiral to intercede by all means with God on their behalf; that he might not visit his wrath upon them…
Columbus went into his cabin, ostensibly to pray, and timed the eclipse with his hourglass. Shortly before the totality ended after 48 minutes, he told the frightened indigenous people that they were going to be forgiven. When the Moon started to reappear from the shadow of the Earth, he told them that God had pardoned them.

Too bad you don’t have that ‘56 today
Or that T-Bird in primo shape
My folks had a ‘63
My sister never cared for it. They bought it for her and she let it go to ruin.
Yeah, just like it's doubtful some humans would pay good money, risk death, and go to the bottom of the ocean in an experimental submersible.
It doesn’t take a million years to get to the bottom of the ocean.
But yes - I leave open the possibilities that there are other life forms in the universe. I also leave open the possibility that they visit here on earth, but the more I learn the more doubtful I become of that. The distances and time required are so great.
Although if they have already existed for a million years and have learned that entire time, maybe they have discovered actual wormholes (they are a mathematical possibility, but not ever observed) or whatever to be able to travel. But I doubt it.
Yup. They could kill us all simply by dropping rocks on us.
OTOH, I dearly loved that T-Bird. I didn't know a car could be such a thing of beauty. It was a true work of art.
Swing-away steering wheel?
Nah. At least not that I remember.
Yea I too would not mind hooking up with an extraterrestrial to have a few beers with by the fire..
It would slide to the right as you got into the car.
They were really cool.
Priced at $25.10.
That's hard to believe, isn't it?
I miss America
Same here.
The corruption and deception related to the UFO story is going to make what the FBI has been doing to our elections lately look like a bully on a playground.
Eighty years of murders.
Eighty years of political assassinations. In multiple countries.
Over one hundred years of lying to the American public about discoveries made in “National Parks”.
People driven to suicide. Careers destroyed. People financially ruined. People’s inventions stolen from them because they mirror principles that we are not yet “allowed” to have.
This will shake, and probably destroy, the American people’s faith in their government.
It will have to handled VERY carefully and the idiot in charge right now is NOT capable of doing it.
Maybe...this is just a government plot to get the taxpayers on board to design and build a fleet of Battlestars along with colonial Viper type attack and defensive fighters to fend off the expected alien hoard?
It will only cost a few hundred trillion but it will be worth it.
For the children...
This guy was thinking more along the lines of DNA changes for the promise of perfect health and curing diseases etc... But I get where you’re coming from.
If space is folded and if there are things like wormholes, it might not take them a million years.
