The Voyager 1 spacecraft (launched 1977) finally left our our solar system. It would take 75,000 years to get to the closet star. Even a theoretical advanced nuclear ship would take 19,000 years.

But yes - I leave open the possibilities that there are other life forms in the universe. I also leave open the possibility that they visit here on earth, but the more I learn the more doubtful I become of that. The distances and time required are so great.

Although if they have already existed for a million years and have learned that entire time, maybe they have discovered actual wormholes (they are a mathematical possibility, but not ever observed) or whatever to be able to travel. But I doubt it.

As I just stated to someone else:

That’s because you think you have to fly millions of years to get somewhere which is thinking with blinders on. Maybe someone or thing has figured out the wormhole thing (as you mentioned) or millions of years to us is a second to them.

Thinking based on our physics is what we know. That may not pertain to there’s.
