A new study finds that whole-fat dairy — including cheese, whole yogurt and whole milk — can help to prevent heart attacks, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases.
What’s more, the study found that unprocessed red meat “can be part of a healthy diet.”
Those are the surprising results from experts who created a dietary ranking named the Prospective Urban and Rural Epidemiological Healthy Diet Score. The PURE diet finds six food groups — fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, fish and whole-fat dairy — can lower the risk of heart disease.

Bacon from my butcher is unprocessed pork belly, put in the smoker. Removed and sliced.
The Med/Mind eating style is basically the food plan my RN wife came up with about a decade ago.
She weighs the same as she did when we got married 62 years ago.
I have dropped about 20 pounds in the last few years. The stupid high carb diet to lower my lipids caused my weight gain and did nothing to lower my lipids.
They can never make up their minds about this stuff, sort of pointless to listen to them.
