A father and two sons were arrested in Turkey on Tuesday after they made a wild attempt to get to their plane after missing the flight, according to The Times of Israel.
The three Israeli passengers missed an AnadoluJet flight from Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen International Airport to Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport, seemingly arriving at the gate after boarding had ended, the outlet reported.
But that didn't stop them from going to extreme lengths to get to the plane, it reported.
According to the newspaper, the men forced their way onto the boarding bridge after the plane had already moved away, with one family member leaping down onto the runway and approaching the plane.
Footage of the alleged incident, shared by Turkish newspaper Yeni Safak, showed one man dangling from the boarding platform before dropping down onto the runway. It's unclear from the footage if others followed him.
The footage then shows the man being surrounded by security staff.
According to The Times of Israel, the three men were subsequently taken to a Turkish police station.
N12 News reported that the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it knew about the incident and that it was being dealt with by the Israeli consulate in Istanbul.

Joey, have you ever been in a Turkish prison?
Lucky they were not shot
Yeah...you’d think that Israelis would know better.
They’re probably Americans with duel citizenship.
Probably New Jerseyites..........
That father was showing poor leadership, leading his sons right into serious trouble. Probably wasn’t the first time.
> Yeah...you’d think that Israelis would know better. <
That was my thought as well. Probably the worst place for an Israeli to misbehave would be in a Muslim nation.
I had a personal experience of missing my plane once at Newark airport.
I had two friends with me. I had to put the car in long term parking. I gave them my luggage, asked them to get it checked for me, dropped them off at the departing passengers area and went on to the long term parking lots.
When I finally got to the gate for out flight, the boarding had ended, the plane’s door was closed, and one of my friends had stayed waiting for me.
The folks at the check in desk said there was nothing they could do, except get us one of a couple other flights leaving within the next hour. That was it, and we settled in for the wait.
But other passengers arrived at the boarding desk and were clamouring for something to be done. You could see the plane was still docked at the gate. I didn’t care. I was on vacation and for me arguing with the folks at the checkin desk was more tension than it was worth.
About fifteen minutes went by and the comotion at the check in desk had ended. It was sort of quiet.
Then suddenly we heard a “pssst”, “pssst”. A person at the check in desk was kneeling down at one end of it and motioning for us to go over to her, but was also motioning for us to stay down. We kneeled down behind the check in desk. She had been notified that they were opening the plane’s door briefly, and she was going to get us on the plane. She gave us our boarding passes and then someone from the plane came to the check in desk. He said “follow me, quietly”.
We boarded the plane as the plane door closed behind us.
Not getting in a hostile panic had paid off.
Many people on the plane, who had been waiting nearly 30 minutes gave us dirty looks as if to be saying “what the hell’ “are these two jerks what we’ve been delayed for”.
I didn’t care. I was on vacation and that meant I was going to be tension free no matter what. Nothing was going to get me upset.
Being stupid, they did this in Turkey
Take the Midnight Express.
It works in the movies all the time.
As you know, you had nothing to do with the flight delay. Probably had everything to do with tower clearance.
But I can see how other passengers would blame you
It depends on who the “Israelis” are; only 47% of Israel’s population is Jewish....
Israelis acting like African-Americans.
Hoo Boy!
They must have gone to school in the disUnited States. Probably Harvard or Yale or...............
Idiocy!
The runway does not begin at the end of the jetway.
And what, exactly did they think the aircraft was going to do? Stop, bring out a ladder, and let them climb aboard? Idiots. This is something ‘diverse’ people would do in one of our airports.
A few decades ago, in a UAW socialist workers’ paradise, in the U.S.A., I observed a lady who was just a bit late for boarding.
She raised so much of the terminal’s roof, that the airport manager himself, took her out to his old jeep and proceeded out onto the taxiway, thence to the runway . . .
Where the DC-9 had stopped instead of taking off, and lowered a ladder to the runway, so the lady could go up the stairs and board the airliner.
Sometimes.....you just gotta try!
Reflection is for losers...ok, there is a time for that too.
