To protect the eyes, as any ophthalmologist will strongly encourage. Good quality sunglasses, SPF sunscreen and a hat are basic tools to reduce a host of sun damage maladies. Like I said there are clear glasses with UV protection, and Desantis doesn't usually wear glasses, what's with the sunglass thing?

DeSantis probably picked up the habit when in the military, plus a lot of people wear them in FL, especially when in or near the water because the sun reflects off of it like a bunch of little mirrors or windshields. Even the beach sand is bright enough to be painful.
Biden’s trying to hide the black as coal eyes that a certain med gives him.
Or it could be as simple as they think they look cool in them.
