Please pray for my family. We were notified Monday night that our 41-year-son, Ryan, was found deceased in his home at 9 pm. He was on a new antidepressant that he said wasn’t working. He put his house on the market at 2:30 pm and decided to burn some leaves around the house to clean up the property. This caused a small brush fire that damaged his neighbor’s trailer, so the Fire Dept. was called and he received a citation.
My son has had a problem with alcohol throughout his adult life, but he hadn’t been drinking much in last few months. He decided to stop at a bar after the fire to relieve his stress and relax. He stayed 4 hours and his girlfriend had to pick him up. She said he was very drunk and she made him take a shower while she put his smoky clothes in the wash. During the 5 minutes she was gone, his demons won and he shot himself with a handgun.
He was our first born child and only son. We are beyond heartbroken and our family honestly doesn’t know how we’ll survive this loss. He was handsome with a charismatic smile. He had a quirky sense of humor and was very smart — he graduated from high school at 16-1/2. He was compassionate and caring, but was also selfish and stubborn. He didn’t like to tell ppl when he was having problems or want to ask for help.
He definitely made his mark where ever he went, and so many ppl from his past have come out of the woodwork to express their condolences. We knew he was loved, but his positive impact on so many ppl’s lives has been truly amazing to see.
Please take a moment to say a prayer for his soul and for strength for our family, as we desperately need to try to understand this tragedy.
Thank you.
My deepest condolences. Prayers up for your family and your son.
Pray for y’all.
Thank you, everyone, for the prayers. It’s still like a knife in my heart every time it hits me. I doubt I’ll ever be the same and my heart will be broken forever. I’m definitely going to seek counseling to find a way to deal with this, and I’ll continue to seek solace in Our Lord and the Blessed Virgin, who was also a mother who knows the monstrous pain of losing a son. 💔
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God the Father,
and the way to God, Prince of Peace, comfort, grant you peace, and save you. Amen.
Prayers up for all involved. I’m grateful to God he blessed you with your son, and ask Him to draw you all near at this painful time.
Praying for you and his girlfriend’s families, and for all who knew and loved him. It’s unfathomable but true, the world will keep moving, changing, and time will keep going by. It can be infuriating (part of the anger phase of grief, maybe). Anyway I wish you all great strength and encourage you to keep the music on, cry cry cry and trust that he will be with you always as he will live in your hearts forever! God Bless
God keep you
I will pray for him and your family,Eternal rest,((((Hugs))))fatima
My heart breaks reading this. 😔
Prayers for you.
I am sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers.
So very sorry. May God comfort you in these desperate times. May you always feel His presence as you grieve and cry. Many prayers going your way.
Prayers up for you.
Jesus, Lord of All,
God of every atom of all universes,
Take this situation and use it for good,
that what is unimaginable today may someday
come around to meet Your purpose.
Remind this family day by day of Your faithful Presence.
If any are not saved, may they repent and surrender to
Your Salvation, that their prayers may be heard.
Bring true Christian believers alongside this family
to see to their care and healing.
In Your holy name we pray,
Amen.
Oh, I am so sorry. I will keep you and Ryan’s loved ones in my prayers for comfort, strength and the healing of your broken hearts.
I will also pray for the peaceful repose of Ryan’s soul.
Prayers up! I can’t imagine losing one of my sons. Give it to God, and pray, pray, pray!
My condolences on your loss. Prayers that his soul has found peace.
“but his positive impact on so many ppl’s lives has been truly amazing to see”
Something not many can say……..hang on to that, and God will guide you and your family through this sad, sad time of such tremendous loss.
“For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”
