Someone I know went to Tractor Supply today to buy a chick. The individual was told that he/she had to supply a phone number and updated address to buy the chicks. I called and asked about the situation and a manager confirmed it. No address, no chicks.
He claimed it was a Tractor Supply policy, but I know better than that. Obviously, the Feds are noticing huge numbers of people buying chicks are are now forcing retailers to track who's buying. All of this has gone too far. I am going to call this the beginning of the Chicken Wars.
My name is Jenny and my number is 867-5309.
A friend of mine picked up a chick at Tractor Supply only to discovery that she had lots of missing teeth, was obese, and smelled a bit.
Assault chickens.
Well shit! My chicks were lost in a boating accident
Lurching around for a great tune 🤣🤣🤣
Its the beginning of the “Ability to Feed Yourself Food” war.
Or the “War Against You Eating”. Whatever resonates better with you.
Maybe “The War Against Individual Food Independence”. They already go after people with personal gardens.
“Fake address, fake name, pay cash.”
Exactly. Why do they need to know this… they don’t.
Yeah, I watched those with eyes wide open. f1.2, I believe.
TS ships 10.
Yeah, they’re probably a little older. Ordering from hatcheries can be different. And pheasant are usually smaller, so that’s a factor.
Some of the locals used to complain about the geese at a city park. I found out the park people would go around and destroy the eggs in the nest. I’d get there ahead of them and bring the eggs home, either to eat them, or incubate them.
There were test taken 40 years ago that chickens can only count to two, scientific fact.
Eight six seven five three ooooohhh niiiinnnnee. I got it.
Good one.
But seriously, what in the world are they doing? There’s no shortage of chickens or eggs, though prices are higher than ever.
I’m curious about chickens doing better in flocks. My daughter and SIL bought a big new house on 15 acres, half wooded. She plans to buy 3 chickens and let them peck around on the ground in a fenced area with of course a wee henhouse. Is that a problem?
I think the Big Chicken is alive and well!

Hawks, skunks, raccoons. Have her do research. Use diatomaceous earth (food grade) etc. it’s a lot more than just a fence and a coop.
Are you too creatively challenged to be able to make up a fictitious address and telephone number?
