A Florida city police officer was reportedly arrested and stripped of his duties after being pulled over by a county sheriff's deputy for alleged reckless driving.
Officer Alexander Shaouni was allegedly driving 80 mph in a 45 mph zone in a marked Orlando Police Department vehicle when he was pulled over by a deputy of the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, according to police dashcam footage.
The deputy activated his lights and raced to catch up with Shaouni's SUV after reportedly noticing him speeding down a local road.
"Over 100 miles an hour trying to catch up to him," the deputy noted, according to video.
When the deputy finally caught up to Shaouni, who had turned his own lights on before pulling over, the two got into an argument, with Shaouni emphasizing that he was on the way to work.
"I am going into work, my man," Shaouni told the deputy. "Why are you trying to pull me over as I’m going into work?"
"Because you are going 80 in a 45," the deputy replied.

“A small town probably couldn’t afford his potential future of risky behavior.”
Happens all the time.
Ever been to Ludowici?
If 80 was reckless, what was “over 100” to catch him?
From Orlando to Florida City. I don’t think that’s a lateral move.

Small towns don’t pay much. So they are desperate for cops who have already been through the police academy, and are ready to go on day one.
So unless this particular cop has lost his police certification, some small town will take a chance, and hire him. That’s almost guaranteed.
Side story: A young cop in my neck of the woods shot an unarmed fleeing thief in the back. The thief survived. The DA considered charging the cop. But the DA decided against it, as the cop claimed he saw a gun. No gun was found.
Okay. The cop got fired, and his town had to pay big bucks to the thief.
So where is this cop now? Well, he’s working as a police officer in the next town down the road.

Plea deal. No prosecution with agreement to quietly leave department.
You need to look.
Unless he's an actual racist (ignore the media narrative, they do exist but not that many of them), he deserves a second chance.
The wheels of justice...
This reminds me of a State Representative who was from my District about 6 years ago. Yes, Republican. Her was driving from Phoenix to Lake Havasu and he was pulled over doing around 100mph. He whipped out his legislative card to get out of it and then proceeds to laughingly tell the officer that he usually goes faster when he wants to get home to his family. Well, that video was leaked and that Representative lost the next election. He was a moron.
How many days before this lawless jerk is back on the job “enforcing the law”?
Here's a story of a 'retread' cop in my hometown of Rocky Ford, CO.
Second-chance cops become issue in Rocky Ford after fatal shooting
Laws are for “civilians.”
“Officer Alexander Shaouni” - Any relation to the clintoons or bidungs?
LOL. That's funny. Even if he's been fired from his current position, all he has to do is move down the road and hire on with another jurisdiction that doesn't mind 'roided up tin-horns.
Prior to 2003 I was on the 210 freeway which is near the foothills above Los Angeles doing about 90mph at 5:30am on my way to work when there is no traffic when a police car came up beside me and he shined his floodlight across the front of my car.
I slowed down then he roared off doing more then 90+.
I figured he was on his way to the station because his shift was over : )
There’s one I don’t know. 😆
“unfortunately, some small town may pick him up.”
You’re probably right.
I just wonder if he was one of those cops welcomed to Florida from places north and west? It would explain a lot concerning his attitude.
