Country music superstar Garth Brooks caved after receiving a massive backlash for calling people who boycotted Bud Light over the Dylan Mulvaney marketing stunt a**holes. Garth said earlier:
“I want it to be a place you feel safe in, I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another. And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. We just are.
“It’s not our decision to make. Our thing is this: If you are let into this house, love one another. If you’re an a–hole, there are plenty of other places on Lower Broadway.
Matt Gaetz ripped the singer:
“I’m sure glad we have Garth Brooks to tell us who is and isn’t an asshole.
“Question, tho: Does it make someone an asshole if they cheat on their spouse, write a song about it with their paramour, and then publish the duet with THAT VERY paramour?
“Or does that make for a good person, righteous in their moral preening?”
Last night Brooks was singing a different tune:
“Everybody’s got their opinions. But inclusiveness is always going to be me.
“I think diversity is the answer to the problems that are here and the answer to the problems that are coming.
“So I love diversity.
“All inclusive, so all are welcome.
“I understand that might not be other people’s opinions, but that’s OK, man…
“So, here’s the deal, man, if you want to come to Friends in Low Places, come in.
“But come in with love, come in with tolerance, patience.
“Come in with an open mind, and it’s cool.
“And if you’re one of those people that just can’t do that, I get it.
“If you ever are one of those people that want to try, come.”
Strickly business for a moment, he’s got a lock on the Nashville LGBTQ market.
Not sure that’s enough to sustain his new venture.
I think his new restaurant is doomed.
I feel terrible for all the wait staff who were excited to get the gig and told all their family and friends. Now what? Best to start looking for another gig.
Way to go Garth.
eff him.
He’s a “Nashville Pussy”.
“So I love diversity.
“All inclusive, so all are welcome.
Maybe Garth could go and do a performance at GITMO for the prisoners. Diversity, right?
Years ago Howard Stern said Garth Brooks songs all sound like bad Eagles songs.
It’s like he thought he was essential or irreplaceable.
if garth does not do a duet with dylan
he is a transphobe
Howard Stern may be a crazy shock jock, but he knows what it takes to be a good entertainer..................
He will soon see that is not an apology - too many good options in town.
That's not caving or an apology. He's still calling people who are boycotting Bud Light people full of hate, lacking tolerance and patience, and having closed minds.
Given his line of work and audience - He’s proven he’s even more stupid than the elitist/woke drones at Bud Light
“there are plenty of other places on Lower Broadway.”
Diversity. Yes!

Well, you have to love his rainbow ribbon!
No, he is from Oklahoma. At one point in his career he created a fake person (Chris Gaines, I think was the name) for some strange reason, but Garth is a real person. I used to really enjoy his music, but after divorcing his wife to marry Trisha Yearwood, I put him in the same box as Vince Gill and Amy Grant. I won’t turn off the radio if a song from them comes on, but I won’t spend a dime on their music.
Absolutely right. That is the worst non-apology “apology” I’ve ever heard.
Why the HELL should we tolerate and love the bastards whole are grooming young kids?
People like Brooks are nuts and out-of-touch with reality.
There was a good analysis yesterday that showed people have HAD IT with the trans nuttiness.
Liberals are extremely tolerant with everyone they agree with.
Garth Brooks’ business partners likely showed him the clause in the contract where his actions taken to tank the business are coming out of his pocket and that he’ll have to make his partners whole.
I think Matt Gaetz is referring to the Brooks/Yearwood duet “In Another’s Eyes.”
They wrote it together and sang it as a duet when both were still married to other partners.
