It’s official: Anheuser-Busch can’t even give its product away for free after its transgender publicity stunt. According to images shared on Twitter, stores in the Midwest are attempting to “sell” cases of Bud Light beer for free before they get skunky on the shelves, with the company offering up to a $15 rebate on products sold this Memorial Day weekend.
Twitter user Michael Haz shared pictures of displays from two stores in beer-loving Wisconsin with the infamous brand attempting to offload 20-packs, originally priced at $15, for free after a rebate. Notice that even with the freebie, the displays are stocked.
In a reply to Haz’s original post, user Dan D. Lion shared an image of a Michigan Meijer sale flyer advertizing a mega 24-pack of the beverage for $3.49. “When I was a teenager in the early 80s a 6 pack of beer cost $3.49,” Lion wrote.
The few customers who buy Bud Light from May 17 to May 31 can submit their UPC and receipt online to receive a prepaid card for the value of their purchase. But men, Anheuser-Busch’s key customer demographic, who are not exactly known for extreme couponing or putzing with rebates are also no longer known for drinking Bud Light.
Bud Light sales have plummeted since national boycotts over their partnership with transgender-identifying influencer Dylan Mulvaney, whose face the company plastered on a can to celebrate his self-proclaimed first year of “girlhood.” Shortly after the trans fiasco, a 2021 interview emerged of a top Anheuser-Busch official describing how the brand uses so-called “diversity, equity, and inclusion” ideology, a euphemism for the discriminatory and divisive poison, when marketing its products.
In recent tweets, conservative commentator Matt Walsh celebrated the success of the Bud Light boycott, for which he and others advocated, calling for conservatives who “complained about the Bud Light boycott” to “help us rather than scoffing on the sidelines.”
Similar initial pressure has found success after Target injected its “pro-trans satanist stance” into “pride”-themed clothing for kids. It remains to be seen whether consumers will successfully give Target the full Bud Light treatment.
A publicity stunt involving people whose gender identity differs from their biological sex is offensive to people who believe in the existence of objective truth
I can’t speak with authority but perhaps “skunky” would be an improvement...
Typically around 5% and the light beer is 4.2, except Heinekin Light which is 3.8
From your FreeRepublic homepage: "I remember when solid, educated and sober-minded conservatives used to frequent Freerepublic."
Me too. Unfortunately, you don't appear to be one of them.
Well, that's the point. AB pissed off a much larger group than "conservatives" - they pissed off the vast population of beer-drinking guys who pay little attention to politics.
RINOs may see this group as uncouth and beneath them, but conservatives need to communicate to them how their rights are being annihilated by Democrats on a general level. Trump's message got through to many of them in 2016.
The problem is that it’s getting harder to find normie companies as they’re all trying to boost their ESG score. I’ve heard that that the score also affects your corporate credit rating as incredible as it sounds, which helps explain why so many companies are falling over themselves bend the knee to the LGBT extremists.
Some brands are easy to ditch though, particularly entertainment like pro sports. With basic necessities, you’re often choosing between lesser evils that are often subject to change since they’re all trying to out-woke the other. The decision usually isn’t as clear as generic store-brand vs Ben & Jerry’s, so I can see why some people give up.
time to do the same to
Target
Ford
North Face
(insert candidate company here)
Most light beers in the US are around 4.3% ABV, and regular beer ranges from 5% to almost 12%.

That was their critical mistake. Bud Lite is what I refer to as “drinking beer”. It’s p*ss water. If I have a “nothing to do Saturday” you and a buddy could grab a case and just drink the stuff all day....without being drunk. It isn’t good beer, just cheap.
Once people switch, where there’s plenty of alternatives, there’s really no reason to go back. There’s nothing special about Bud. It’s the same reason sales were declining in the first place. There’s far more competition and the revolution in micro-breweries made it worse.
It’s not coming back...or at least, I’d be shocked if it did.
As someone else noted, it's a "repudiation"
Along with Bud Light, Anheuser-Busch stock should swirl down the toilet.
Deceptive headline. This is not free beer. You have to pay for it then go through an involved process of applying for a rebate that may or may not come. And even if it does come, you are now on Budweiser’s list to send more mail and junk email to.
Here's to you real woman with a penis!
Im kind of surprised by all of this but I suppose I really shouldnt be.
Bud light drinkers always came across as a pretty faggy group to begin with, thats probably why it still doesnt make sense that there was this reaction in the first place. Now that there was though none of them can walk away as they were always the ones that wanted to be part of the crowd, that whole herd mentality, the need to be “just one of the girls”, that was part of what made them seem that way in the first place.
Inbev needs to find the right “mean girl” to influence that type back to Bud. It shouldnt take more than buying a couple of ex sports stars that these types have their bro-crushes on to lead them all back.
If Inbev actually wanted to. Im not entirely sure that they do and think that they may have had other motivations beyond pleasing banks. This may well be the first in what is to become a long string of “market effecting accidents” that occur during the final transitioning from the boomer economy to the Millennial economy.
I can tell you honestly that the only reason I would order a Bud Light draft was that it was the ONLY non IPA choice available other than Guiness.
It seems that most bars/restaurants ONLY here in southern NH have primarily IPAs on draft. I go to a place on Thursdays to play trivia. They have about ten drafts to choose from. Guiness, Sam Adams Seasonal, Bud Light and the rest are all IPAs.
I HATE IPAs.
Bud Light has now been universally dubbed “QUEER BEER” by BOTH SIDES and it will be stuck with that moniker till the end of time................
Lite beer, any lite beer, isn’t called pisswater for nothing.
Get Woke
