Mr. New York is movin’ out of his beloved Long Island home of over 20 years.
In the village of Centre Island, roughly 40 miles east of Midtown Manhattan, Billy Joel’s 26-acre estate has hit the market for $49 million.

Gonna have to reword “New York State Of Mind”.
Sitting by the dock of the bay.
Waiting for my bus to take me away.
They sue could fit a lot of illegal aliens there, maybe the COunty should just SEIZE it?
Seen the lights go out on Broadway
I saw the Empire State laid low
And life went on beyond the palisades
They all bought Cadillacs
And left there long ago
You know those lights were bright on Broadway
That was so many years ago
Before we all lived here in Florida
Before the Mafia took over Mexico
There are not many who remember
They say a handful still survive
To tell the world about
The way the lights went out
And keep the memory alive
Nice looking house, but the staircase shown is pretty plain-Jane. Maybe it leads to the servant’s quarters.
He’s going to be under Pressure, with a Florida governor that he doesn’t like.
The home that Michael Jordan is trying to sell is another good spot for the homeless.
I’ve always thought he was a closet Trump supporter. They went way back from when celebrities still liked Trump.
Rather than say.....I’m Movin’ Out....why don’t libs stay in the sorry @zz states/cities they’ve created....and, fix them, rather than move to red states, to dirty up the new place???
The article says he is also selling his Florida house. However, he is keeping the Sag Harbor(the Hamptons) house.
I’ve always thought he was a closet Trump supporter. They went way back from when celebrities still liked Trump.
Maybe this will put a stop to those thoughts....sounds just like several of the FR NTs....
... “You and Donald Trump are about the same age, both born in outer-borough New York. Does that give you any insight into him?
No. I see him as being from an entirely different planet. I know he was born in Queens, but he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His father was rich and gave him a lot of money. I don’t know how much empathy he actually has for people who don’t live that kind of life. I’m not a big fan of his, so to be fair I don’t have a lot of insight into him.” ...

Seen the lights go out on broadway
I saw the Empire State laid low
And life went on beyond the Palisades
They all bought Cadillacs
And left there long ago
They held a concert out in Brooklyn
To watch the island bridges blow
They turned our power down
And drove us underground
But we went right on with the show
I’ve seen the lights go out on Broadway
I saw the ruins at my feet
You know we almost didn’t notice it
We’d seen it all the time on Forty-second Street
They burned the chuches up in Harlem
Like in the Spanish civil war
The flames were ev’rywhere
But no one really cared
It always burned up there before
I’ve seen the lights go out on Broadway
I’ve watched the mighty skyline fall
The boats were waiting at the battery
The union went on strike
They never sailed at all
They sent a carrier out from Norfolk
And picked the Yankees up for free
They said that Queens could stay
They blew the Bronx away
And sank Manhattan out at sea
You know those lights were bright on Broadway
That was so many years ago
Before we all lived here in Florida
Before the Mafia took over Mexico
There are not many who remember
They say a handful still survive
To tell the world about
The way the lights went out
And keep the memory alive
Yes...I know a few...but, that doesn’t answer my question.
Why don’t they stay and fix NY? The mess they helped make?
I’m in a New York state of mind,
“BYE!”
He didn’t tear him down. He just said that he can’t relate to him.
That’s reasonable.
“From a town known as Oyster Bay, Long Island
Rode a boy with a six-pack in his hand
And his daring life of crime
Made him a legend in his time
East and west of the Rio Grande”
“he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. “
BJ is such a dork. Obviously, he never saw the very humble little house Trump’s parents had at the beginning. Hardly a “silver spoon” existence.
These celebs continue to spout off, without a clue as to what they’re talking about.
