Some of the slightly less obtuse libs eventually figure out that their idea of “fixing things” doesn’t seem to help. I’m not saying they truly realize that they’re wrong and decide to change their ways, but they at least detect the stench of something not quite right and desire to get away from it.

Of course, as you mention, that usually means that they move to a less foolish place and just destroy it with the same old insanity. They’re like people who fancy themselves as “firefighters”, but keep trying to use a blowtorch and gasoline to put out the fires. Sure, even they will run from the heat once it gets intense enough, but they’ll soon be back to their arsonist ways.
