Radiocarbon dating is the most widely applied dating method in archaeology, especially in human evolution studies, where it is used to determine the chronology of key events, such as the replacement of Neanderthals by modern humans in Europe. However, the method does not always provide precise and accurate enough ages to understand the important processes of human evolution. Here we review the newest method developments in radiocarbon dating ('Radiocarbon 3.0'), which can lead us to much better chronologies and understanding of the major events in recent human evolution. As an example, we apply these new methods to discuss the dating of the important Palaeolithic site of Bacho Kiro (Bulgaria)...
Ideal for calibration are dendrochronologically dated tree-ring chronologies because 14C in tree rings reflects the atmospheric 14C level of the respective year. In the IntCal20 calendar age dated tree-ring chronologies are available back to 14,200 years cal BP (calibrated years Before Present, 1950 AD), with decadal to the annual resolution of 14C dates and statistical errors of 15 to 30 years (1Ο) [45]. Before this time, back to 55,000 cal BP, macrofossils from laminated lake sediments and independently dated carbon archives linked only indirectly to the atmosphere were used. Examples are speleothems and marine sediments. The resolution and accuracy of 14C data from these archives are much lower than those from tree rings. For instance, in the age range of around 42,000 cal BP, one date every 120 to 250 years has been measured, with errors of 250 to 350 years.
Though trees of glacial ages have been found, and tree-ring chronologies have been constructed [46, 47], they were not considered useful for calibration, because they are not linked to absolutely dated chronologies.

...human evolution...
An enormity.
Many researchers in major universities are somewhat reluctant to delve too deeply into human evolution. It may expose some very inconvenient truths.
Speaking of evolution, every time I try to post something on Breitbart referring to Homo sapiens or Homo erectus, my post gets erased. I can only think that, in the infinite wisdom of their censors, they think I’m disparaging LGBQT, ad.infinitum.
The applicable computer program’s REGEX (regular expression) code, searching for prohibited words, might not take into consideration the words you use, because the programmer has never heard of “Homo sapiens” and “Homo erectus.” In addition to, “erectus” might be rejected.

Does anyone do a cookie free site anymore? At least some let me opt out...some are obnoxious and won’t let me read unless I accept....is there a site which cleans out cookies from a website?
It seems like high precision radiocarbon dating means real known verifiable events are used as a comparator to the radio carbon reading. Doesn’t that mean that the radiocarbon dating method cannot be accurate by itself?
The EU requires the warning dialog, so the whole world is getting in compliance.
Or, there’s a censor who’s down on anything with human evo in it.
The Brave browser is basically the Google Chrome browser, but with all the Google spy stuff removed. It also blocks third-party cookies. It is my browser of choice on my PC and Android phone.
RC works fine, but the calibration has been integrated into dating for a long while now, because C13/C14 doesn’t accumulate in a uniform manner, the C14 varies a bit, and it’s already in small quantities.
Dendrochronology actually began before RC dating (which began in 1950), through measurement (and occasionally chemical analysis) of individual rings to match up different dead trees (and lumber) and put them into chronological order.
Like who is more evolved than others?
