RUSSIA BREAKTHRU N. OF AVDIIVKA: Krasnohorivka on verge of capture Video
YouTube ^ | 3/12/2023 | DPA War

Posted on 03/12/2023 6:20:00 AM PDT by Phoenix8

Russian forces broke through the Ukrainian defense lines north of Avdiivka, with Russian forces fighting within Krasnohorivka and Kamyanka. Both towns might be captured in coming days.

Russian continues it's offensives on multiple fronts: Vuhledar, Marinka region of the Donetsk Front, Avdiivka Front, Bakhmut Front, Siversk Front, Kreminna Front and Kupyansk Front

Watch the entire video for the full Situation Report (SITREP).

Actually the reason I posted this was due to a small comment towards the end of the video. It was reported Ukrainian forces were building trenches and fortifications all along the Moldavian border. Supposedly to prevent ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.

If true I think we have reached the pinnacle of Irony. While our border is a bleeding gaping hole the Ukrainians are protecting theirs on all sides.

No comment on the rest of the video, as a neutral I just try to keep up with what is going on.

As the months go by, the ground gets drier. Roads are less crucial and maneuver warfare through the countryside becomes more viable. The army on the offense (that’s Russia) can strike unexpectedly in any of multiple areas. The defending army (that’s Ukraine) is at a huge disadvantage (especially if their forces are smaller). This little war is a pointless money grab.

As the constant embarrassment of failing to take Bakhmut grinds on for Putin, are the Russian propogandists going to instead try to sell the capture for Krasnohorivka (a tiny village) as A Great Victory that proves the Russian Army is not at all incompetent and ill-led.

Rah-Rah we are holding in by our teeth. Russia can take anything but tiny bits—we can hold them back. Reminds ne of the US and Allies holding at Baatan—waiting for reinforcements that never came.

Who knows? It’s a quagmire. Neither side will concede. Both sides have unlimited resources (until the Uke cannon fodder runs out). Day to day, back and forth, until it settles into trenches, fortification and a 2500 mile frontier. This is a generational conflict. If you look at at a map of the Russian/NATO frontier you’ll see a huge bulge resting against the heart of Poland, Belarus. It’s been my prediction that WWIII starts not in Ukraine but on the Polish/Belarus border.

Here’s a news article about the deployment of Ukrainian “border guards” along border with Transnistria:

https://euroweeklynews.com/2023/02/28/kyiv-admits-to-deploying-units-of-troops-along-the-border-with-transnistria/

There were later reports (which I cannot find now) that Ukraine says they are there to interdict arms smugglers.

There is a humongous ammo dump (half full of dangerous aged stuff) just inside the Transnistrian border guarded by a small detachment of Russian soldiers. Cobasna is a very interesting piece of the puzzle there. See last link in my post here:

“Here’s a news article about the deployment of Ukrainian “border guards” along border with Transnistria:”

The likely plan is that soon Moldova, with NATO supplies, will launch a campaign to retake the Russian occupied parts of their country.

The Ukrainian will defend their side of the border to prevent any of that Russian garrison from being resupplied or escaping.

Transnistria is not “Russian occupied” in any military sense. Do you mean the civilians who live there?

It’s all been quite peaceable since 1992, with Moldova content to let the people of Transnistria have their autonomy. There is a joint patrol of Russian, Moldovan and Transnistrian peacekeepers there as per the 1992 agreement.

There’s a heap of ancient unstable Soviet stuff in that ammo dump that is too dangerous to transport, so there it sits. From the article I posted before:

“A possible explosion of the military depot in Cobasna can be compared to the detonation of a 10-kiloton nuclear bomb, which was dropped on the city of Hiroshima in 1945.”

The real worry is some fool from either side will get the bright idea to blow that thing and try to blame the other side.

That has long been attributed to Albert Einstein, but you have to be careful, all kinds of things are attributed to him, few of which can be validated.

Cobasna would also be subjected to possible destruction by an errant missile/projectile. If so, a hole the size of Texas would be created in Transnistria/Moldova...

I’ve long felt the Suwalki Gap would be an area of contention. Won’t take much!

Just wait till the ground freeze... a major Russian offensive will take place... they will destroy the nazis...

Yet our young, woke , retreads want us to be something more like the USSR and less like the US in the Roosevelt admin.

It sounds like another Chernobyl waiting to happen.
