Newspapers pulled Adams's 'Dilbert' comics and the left thundered its umbrage after Adams reacted to a poll suggesting significant bigotry among black respondents.
We know that the left is always looking for an opportunity to silence those who challenge their groupthink. Their target isn’t only conservatives but anybody who disagrees with their worldview even in the slightest possible way.
They left lives in the hope that contrarians to their groupthink will either misspeak or express a nuanced and detailed idea that can be extracted, stripped of context, and made to appear bigoted. This gives them reason to mount a social media campaign and initiate cancellation.
Yesterday it was satirist and thinker Scott Adams's turn to be cancelled.
USAToday announced that it would stop publishing Adams's "Dilbert" cartoon because they ‘lead with inclusion and strive to maintain a respectful and equitable environment for the diverse communities we serve nationwide.’
Cleveland’s Plain Dealer newspaper also decided not to publish any of Adam’s cartoons.
John Hiner of MLive Media in Michigan wrote in an editorial, “We will work quickly to find a replacement that will entertain you and not violate basic standards of decency and respect for others.”
Many other outlets followed and did away with Adams.
Adams has been producing Dilbert for three decades and they are seen as a devastatingly satirical commentary on workplace policies.
What did Scott Adams do such that he merited cancellation?
Adams become a nationwide trending topic after he said that black people are "a hate group and I don't want to have anything to do with them."
He also said the following:
"Based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from black people."

That is really nothing compared with what wokeists say about white people.
Of course he’s 100% right.
They have a broken culture and I want nothing to do with it.
We sure do live in interesting times
I just hate it when umbrage gets thundered. The surprising part of this story is that there are still newspapers in business. It’s sort of liking driving an ICE vehicle in 2036.
He said nothing wrong.
Soon there will be no one left to cancel.
I haven’t bought a news paper in decades. Occasionally I’ll get a free one thrown in my driveway, goes straight to the garbage can. Not only are news papers obsolete they are environmentally unfriendly. But liberal greenies won’t go after liberals, right?
They are quite handy to line bird or rodent cages or wrap fish or produce.
You must not be a gardener. I am and I keep random newspapers for mulch.
Anyone that wants to read Dilbert can go to his website.
He probably doesn’t need the syndicate’s money any more and was expecting as much from the papers when he said it.
Adam’s was actually slow to come to that common sense conclusion.
Sadly, I've seen anecdotal instances of minorities embracing "minority only" social gatherings and such.
It's truly laughable, because in many cases this is completely driven by leftists.
And the results is, whether they like it or not, old style democrat minority segregation.
The laughable part is that they convinced some minorities to buy into it.
While many folks embrace and excel at personal excellence, there will always be those of any color who succumb to divisive rhetoric and outright idiocy.
Broken culture...broken minds.
And like all the other “canceled” he’ll be fine. Really, both sides act like this is permanent, meanwhile other than Lauer and Weinstein everybody that got “canceled” is back. He lost a couple subscribers, he didn’t lose them all, and in a few years he’ll probably get them back. That’s business. He’s gone through it before for various reasons.
I get second-hand newspapers to do the crosswords. Keep a couple around for DIY projects (e.g., free painting tarp). Other than that, I have no use for them.
I must admit I do check out the page-six girl, but it’s about a 50-50 toss-up between a beauty and a freakazoid on any given day.
Leftists have always believed they can achieve unity by eliminating the opposition.
Samizdat prevents elimination through cancelation. People like Scott Adams will never be canceled.
This could be great news for Today’s Toons on FR... Dilbert could fill the void left by Hope-n-Chains departure years ago.
He used to live in Pleasanton, CA in a nice house about a mile from my old place. I guess wokeness now is the law of the land, and if you are not in line, they will cancel you.
So much for free speech.
But first, he said that the people who were unvaccinated were right. That he shouldn’t have gotten the vax because now he will always have to worry about the health consequences.
People read USAToday?
Who knew. Don’t even see it in hotel lobbies anymore.
What seems like a dumb question turned out to be revealing. 25% don’t think whites should exist and another 25% aren’t sure. Basic logic says, yeah, stay away. I advise my son’s that repeatedly. It’s fine to have individual friends, but if you’re out and about and you see a grouping, get outta there.
