The Last of Us actress Bella Ramsey recently told viewers to avoid watching the show if they are not comfortable with viewing sinful acts of grave depravity.
Ramsey spoke with GQ Magazine, where she revealed the show will feature a plethora of acts of grave depravity going forward.
She told the outlet, “I know people will think what they want to think. But they’re gonna have to get used to it. If you don’t want to watch the show because it has gay storylines, because it has a trans character, that’s on you, and you’re missing out.”
“It isn’t gonna make me afraid. I think that comes from a place of defiance,” she added.
Ramsey’s comments come after the show’s third episode debuted and was heavily criticized. YouTuber Synthetic Man described the episode as Brokeback Mountain.
He explained, “We got 15 minutes of two middle-aged gay dudes falling in love and there’s an extended kissing scene. And they even get married. It is just the weirdest, bizarre, out of left field s**t that is completely irrelevant to the overall plot.”
As for Ramsey’s claim that you are missing out, it’s clearly not anything good that you are missing out on. You are actively avoiding sin and the proliferation of it.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church notes, “Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that ‘homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered. They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.”
In fact, the Catechism also asserts that sodomy is one of the sins that cries to heaven. “The catechetical tradition also recalls that there are ‘sins that cry to heaven’: the blood of Abel, the sin of the Sodomites, the cry of the people oppressed in Egypt, the cry of the foreigner, the widow, and the orphan, injustice to the wage earner.”
To reiterate, by avoiding this show you are actually avoiding sin and the proliferation of it. You are actively rejecting the evil that the show is trying to perpetuate.
St. Pope John Paul II in his Message for the 29th World Communications Day also instructed, “As happens with all the media of social communication, the cinema, as well as having the power and the great merit of contributing to the cultural and human growth of the individual, can oppress freedom—particularly of the most weak—when it distorts the truth and when it presents itself as the mirror of negative types of behavior, using scenes of violence and sex offensive to human dignity and ‘tending to excite violent emotions to stimulate the attention’ of the viewer.”
“The attitude of those who irresponsibly bring about degrading imitative behavior whose harmful effects can be read about each day in the pages of the newspapers cannot be defined as free artistic expression. As the Gospel reminds us, only in the Truth are we made free,” he declared.
In 2004, St. Pope John Paul II would also state, “People grow or diminish in moral stature by the words which they speak and the messages which they choose to hear. Consequently, wisdom and discernment in the use of the media are particularly called for on the part of communications professionals, parents and educators, for their decisions greatly affect children and young people for whom they are responsible, and who are ultimately the future of society.”
He later added, “It is not so easy to resist commercial pressures or the demands of conformity to secular ideologies, but that is what responsible communicators must do. The stakes are high, since every attack on the fundamental value of the family is an attack on the true good of humanity.”
To anyone on this thread.
Don’t watch any of this stuff.
Even supposedly wholesome stuff.
We don’t need entertainment.
We don’t need to waste out time and pollute our souls.
No, I've played the game, the ONLY reference to 'gay' is that gay guy A discovers gay guy B has hanged himself because he became bitten/infected by a zombie, no other reference/scenes and zero gay sex crap in the game.
Kinda reminds me of that little twit from Sweden.
She’s not very attractive. If she wasn’t “gender fluid” I doubt any show would cast her.
Used to it? Sadly.
Shocked? No.
Missing out? No.
Bored w/ it all? Absolutely.
There is a reason for this. After "Silence of the Lambs" portrayed the most perverted sick twisted f@ggot as the killer, the "gay" community of Los Angeles blew a gasket and confronted all the movie studio heads.
The Studios agreed to create a homosexual approval board for scripts, and no movie project could move forward unless the homosexual board approved the script.
Eventually people started writing scripts to portray "gay" characters in a positive light, and then it just kept going and getting worse.
But yes, today, right now, there exists a homosexual approval board for movie and television scripts.
Who watches this garbage? Never heard of this actress, and I have never heard of this show.
I wanted to watch this, but apparently they want to talk me out of it…
Beheading isn't going to be normalized. These people are trying very hard to make perverted homosexual behavior appear normal and natural, and by doing so they are very likely going to get more converts and more mass support for this sick behavior.
It's propaganda. Beheading isn't propaganda and won't have any effect on the mass audience. Showing f@ggotry as normal *WILL* have a detrimental effect on the nation.
Even broadcast network shows have had gay/lesbian scenes, the show Nashville about country music had a number of gay scenes so did the show The Walking Dead.
See my earlier message in this thread about how Hollywood, after "Silence of the Lambs" portrayed a homosexual in a very disgusting and horrifying light, created a Homosexual approval board for movie and television scripts.
Better yet, look it up yourself on the internet.
*THIS* is why f@ggotry has become so common in movies and televisions. It is not because people want it.
The point is, The Last of Us isn’t breaking new ground, quite a few other really popular shows on HBO and other broadcast channels have had equal violence and depravity.
In the 1950s, this homo stuff would have gotten the movie people arrested and sent to prison. I think it should still be that way.
Check out Turkish shows, my favourite Turkish show
so far is Black Money Love. Lots of twists and turns.
And how is anyone supposed to know that either one of these people are "gay"? Do they have a sign on their chest saying "I'm gay!"? It seems to me that you have to go out of your way to make certain everyone knows someone is "gay", and it *NEVER* has any relevance to the story. It's just stuck in there because people are trying to virtue signal how much they approve of gayness.
I'm sick of people shoving ghey sh*t into stories, news and narratives.
I didn’t get the appeal of Ozark, too dark,
about the only likeable character was the
guy with Down Syndrome.
This actress think we’re missing out if we don’t
watch her show. Nice thing about streaming, is that
there are many better shows out there that don’t have
unnecessary depravity that add nothing to the storyline.
She may soon find out that 90+ percent of the viewers don't want that crap.
Great article. Sadly, the great web site with good articles has horrible ads. In other news, non-Christians have been promoting sin and depravity since Cain killed Abel. News flash: there is only one thing that is not boring: grace.
I wasn’t an asshole in high school.
I hated the detour from the main plot. From what I gather we will never see these characters again, so even apart from the gay subplot it did not drive the story forward in any way. There is too much stuff I want to know in the main story for them to have wasted half of an episode on this.
The “gay” stuff being shown is nauseous to me. It was said if I missed it...well that would be on me. I’ll gladly miss it & feel good about it because I will have missed out on nothing worthwhile. This kind of stuff is absolute filth & I believe we are all cautioned about having nothing to do with it.
Even Hallmark Christmas movies had two gay men liplocking.
I cringed.
