A former MSNBC host claims she was told she needed to have the network president vet her commentary if it included any criticism of Hillary Clinton before she ran for president in 2016.
Krystal Ball, a former Democratic Party congressional candidate from Virginia, was a co-host of “The Cycle” from 2012 until 2015 for the left-leaning cable news channel owned by Comcast.
Ball, 41, recalled her MSNBC monolgue in 2014 when she urged then-Sen. Clinton (D-NY) to not seek the Democratic Party nomination for president.
“I did this whole thing that was like, ‘She sold out to Wall Street. People are gonna hate this lady. She’s like the terrible candidate for the moment. Please don’t run,'” Ball said during an appearance last week on Joe Rogan’s Spotify podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
“I was allowed to say it,” she said, adding: “I deliver my thing. I did it exactly how I wanted to do it.”
But apparently, Ball’s advice to Clinton — who would go on to lose to Donald Trump — did not sit well with Phil Griffin, who was MSNBC’s president at the time.
“Afterwards, I get pulled into an office and you know [I was told], ‘Great monologue, everything’s fine. But next time you do any commentary on Hillary Clinton, it has to get approved by the president of the network,'” Ball said.
The Post has sought comment from MSNBC.

MSNBC is Hillary’s PR firm and would NEVER allow an ounce of criticism.
...unless of course you’re pointing out that she works TOO HARD for the AMERICAN PEOPLE.

Many people on the right, who are now better described as MAGA vs Republican or GOPe, were awakened by Trump to the truth about the GOP (it’s corporate captured).
Many people on the left, who I cannot yet describe, have awakened to the fact that corporatism, anarchism, and communism has taken over their party. I think of them as classic liberals.
Bernie Sanders woke some of them up and Clinton paid a BIG price for it in the 2016 election above just being a “bad candidate” as the “system” cheated Sanders.
These are facts. We should recognize dissent on both sides and applaud it when we hear it regardless of the source.
I don’t agree with Tulsi Gabbard or Glenn Greenwald or RFK Jr. about many policies, but they see some things very clearly and their viewpoints are worth consideration.
The truth should never involve politics. We just had the biggest proof of our lifetimes with the Covid debacle and “politics” likely cost the lives of a million or more Americans.
I believe the story. No “punishment” but make sure you run it by the suits first.
She and Saager(the guy she works with) were working for The Hill until just recently. So, almost as bad as MSNBC.
I think they now have their own podcast.
They are kind of male/female version of Hannity/Combs. He is more conservative. She is more liberal.

Matt Taibbi basically said the same thing as you surmised just yesterday on the Joe Rogan Podcast. He was employed for years by Rolling Stone. He was let go when he questioned their ethics. Matt is a classic liberal reporter. Yet, he is also a real journalist. He also now has his own podcast after being let go by Rolling Stone.

And she didn’t like Hildabeast because she wasn’t “progressive” enough.
“Since leaving MSNBC, the Democrat formed a PAC backing progressive candidates and and launched the podcast “Breaking Points” with Saagar Enjeti, with whom she appeared on Rogan’s show.”

And her sidekick Saager is just as bad, dude has no stones to push back against her crap.
Of course, these these networks are funded by left-wing billionaires and millionaires to promote the DNC and the left.
