Since Election Day, Sarah has tweeted her displeasure with ranked-choice voting, which Alaska used both this summer in the special election and on Election Day. Last week, she signed a petition by an anti-ranked choice voting political action committee called Alaskans for Honest Government.

Sarah should have waltzed right into the office. This ranked choice system is proof we're asleep at the switch-allowed it to happen. We're not ready for '24 if this is not eliminated-'addressed' is not good enough. Her and Begich(GOP) got 60% of the vote. That means republican. Begich was a democrat plant. So was the Libertarian allowed in the debate. That house seat is ours. There was no fight in Sarah for 10+ years-Jeb's mistake. That doesn't help.

She should run again if they get rid of RCV. Mitch supports it.

I liked Sarah Palin a whole lot. BUT, she did the Republican Party and the American People a HUGE disservice by taking most of the air out of the room when she teased a presidential run and toured the country rally style and didn’t pull the trigger. The possible conservative candidates were frozen, but Romney got to consolidate his operation.

Sarah should have taken on Murkowski in ‘16. 2 heavyweights. She was rich. Everyone waited for her comeback. Gotta admit the rats did everything right to winch seat. Still the state is red. No excuse.

That’s what ranked voting is all about.

You can elect any Democrat you choose.

She didn't lose her House race. It was rigged against her.

As long as their is ranked choice in Alaska, no conservative will be elected there.

Ok so it was rigged. Whose fault is it for allowing it to happen?

Yep. That one was a heartbreaker. If the GOP doesn’t take steps to fix all these voting problems, this kind of result will be the norm.

ranked voting + ballot harvesting = one party rule forever

It would be nice to have only 2 November candidates on the ballot thereby requiring a 50%+1 majority. Calif. had 2 democrats on too many ballots-deep blue is a fair excuse.

Why should Sarah have waltzed in? She hasn’t held any office since 2009, she’s mostly not lived in Alaska most of that time, plus all the family bulldada. Really all she’s got is name recognition, but half the people that recognize her name see her as a joke. Seats don’t belong to a party, they’re suppose to be WON. She didn’t.

It’s the fault of he democrats claiming to be republicans in Alaska. And the voters who can’t be bothered to look closely at who is running in the primaries, and in the general elections.

The Alaska Machine needs to be arm-twisted by Trump sooner or later to change the dirty system of ranked-choice voting.

Ultimately Alaskans should rise up which would be a much better way of resolving this.

Get rid of the ranked choice voting. Democrats are using it to manipulate the results of the election.

If Alaskans don’t fix it would the mainland 48 follow? This is our lab for the future of the party. The RNC leadership hasn’t changed.

You’re right about Sarah’s shortcomings. Still, the rest of the country loved her and was anxiously waiting her return. Were the rats fired up about Biden? He’s got a job and she doesn’t.

You have right. Most of us here may not realize how long she’s been out of polictics, since most of us here still love her, but think about it, our Sarah has not held office in
almost 24 years! In politics, that’s a separate generation.

*I even recall the exact date that Sarah ‘told me’ she was not going to be running for president, because that was also the
same date Steve Jobs; Apple CEO extraordinaire died of cancer.
Steve Jobs was another person I was quite impressed with.
That date was Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

She didn’t have to run in the general and then Alaska would have had Republican representation which is what the vast majority of Alaska voters chose on election day. And yet with the scheme that is ranked-choice voting, they are represented by a Democrat.

Ranked-choice voting MUST be defeated everywhere it’s tried. They are trying to get it into Georgia.

It seems to me we can use ranked voting and ballot harvesting to our advantage just as easily.
