Why should Sarah have waltzed in? She hasn’t held any office since 2009, she’s mostly not lived in Alaska most of that time, plus all the family bulldada. Really all she’s got is name recognition, but half the people that recognize her name see her as a joke. Seats don’t belong to a party, they’re suppose to be WON. She didn’t.

You have right. Most of us here may not realize how long she’s been out of polictics, since most of us here still love her, but think about it, our Sarah has not held office in
almost 24 years! In politics, that’s a separate generation.

*I even recall the exact date that Sarah ‘told me’ she was not going to be running for president, because that was also the
same date Steve Jobs; Apple CEO extraordinaire died of cancer.
Steve Jobs was another person I was quite impressed with.
That date was Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

It still surprises me how many conservatives don't understand the importance of branding, and being able to appeal to audiences beyond the base. Trump came from the private sector and brought his own brand to the campaign in 2016, but then lost that outsider appeal due to years of media lies coupled with some missteps of his own. Palin did not have such a brand, was subsequently, turned into a joke by the media, and never recovered.
