Eyewitness states: At 41,000 feet above possibly Nevada or Arizona, I looked out of the window of our Delta plane and saw something flying in tandem with us, or at least it appeared to be. The brightness increased at one point. I took both pictures and a video of it. The city and state are not correct since we were flying and that information is required to file a report. I actually have no clue where we were except it had to be in the south west region given our flight path from LA to ATL.

NO THEY CAN’T! To get a clear picture you must use a tripod mount and good optics. A cell phone camera has neither. A hand-held shot isn’t steady. Even a very tiny camera movement while the shutter is open results in a blur that is more than the object’s size. No amount of compensation will remove the affects of atmospheric haze.
I believe that it was indeed a reflection from the ground, or maybe even from water particles in the clouds.
While flying at about 10,000 feet in a private plane on a bright sunny day, I noticed a bright light moving along the ground. It was precisely where our shadow would be. The sun’s rays from 97 million miles away would make a shadow on the ground no bigger than our airplane, so I couldn’t see the shadow from that altitude, though I could easily see the reflected sunlight from around the shadow. I believe that many of the so-called UFOs are similar reflections.

Just like the numerous Bigfoot and Loch Ness monster sighting photos.
It’s swamp gas flying by at mach 4.
If it weren’t for the matched velocity, it could be some kind of chute test for (domestic) spacecraft.

Thousands of mirrors, “precisely aimed” at the top of the 400’ high boiler tower as the sun rises and moves through the sky, seem to be missing the target. Pilots must have to steer well away from the wayward 1000 degree beam or get fried like an untold number of birds do. The investors, Google among them want their money back - from us taxpayers of course.

Government Failure: Another 0bama green energy project is looking like it was wired up wrong. This time it’s a giant mirror in the California desert. Its owners are now looking for a federal bailout to pay off their federal loan.
The Ivanpah solar power facility in the Mojave Desert southwest of Las Vegas covers 4,000 acres and has 173,500 heliostats used to turn the sun’s energy into electricity.
It has the distinction of being ... a headache for pilots who have been blinded by its bright reflective power, and an executioner of birds that have been scorched by the 1,000-degree heat it sends back toward the sky.
...
The $2.2 billion project was built using a $1.6 billion federal construction loan. Supporters bragged that it would provide electricity to 140,000 California homes when working at full capacity. Its largest investor, NRG Energy, promoted Ivanpah as a source of “clean energy” that will remove “400,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year” from the atmosphere, the equivalent of taking 72,000 vehicles off the road.
The facility opened earlier this year to great praise, naturally, because we’ve been told over and again that green energy, such as solar power, is the future.
But now its owners — NRG, Web giant Google and BrightSource Energy in Oakland, Calif. — are hoping to secure a $539 million federal grant to help pay off their $1.6 billion federal loan. That shows these moneyed companies have more brass than they do dollars.
It shouldn’t be too much to expect the owners to pay back their crony loan with the profits they make from their glorious project.
But maybe that’s the problem. They know it’s a losing proposition, a toy with Solyndra-esque troubles ...
