They are planning to continue making this movie.
It may be a popular movie because of all the publicity the release of the movie will get.
ICWUDT, did you? ;)
Early in the thread. I’ve seen video of Alec practicing his draw - presumably for the fatal scene.
Been a long time but as is illustrated by the phrase “going off half-cocked” as you pull back on a revolver trigger, before it locks, if your thumb slips the hammer will slam down and possibly fire the round.
Not excusing Baldwin but I believe its the equivalent of “fanning the trigger” getting off shots just by pulling back on the hammer with the side of your hand not far enough to lock but for the hammer to fall.
Might he have been pulling back on the trigger and his thumb slipped?
Gun experts?
This movie belongs, unfinished, in a dumpster.
WTF? They’re still making the movie????
He’s banking on the ghoulish interest market.
Why? He’s that kind if psychopath...
>> I heard Baldwin is a producer of the film. Did he cut costs? <<
Yes. He hired what the union calls “scabs” to be the armorer and props mgr.
I wouldn’t see this movie for any reason.
I lol’d.
I guess they are trying to make money on the name recognition this murder has brought the movie.
Some Democrat he is, I thought Democrats were the friends of the Unions.
Weird.
“Hutchins’ widower Matt, who shared his 10-year-old son Andros with the late cinematographer...”
They really need to stop with this awkward phrasing. It sounds like they were molesting the child together.
Baldwin was the producer on this movie.
He FIRED the original armorer and crew, and hire this incompetent group.
It was the “Smoking Man” wearing a MAGA hat on the Grassy Knot, of course.
If the trigger is held to the rear, neither the full-cock nor half-cock sear will engage. I’m working on a single-action revolver with a broken leaf-spring on the back of the hand. Cocking it while pointing it downward provides normal function, as gravity pulls the trigger forward/downward. Held level, or pointed upward, the trigger falls back and the sears aren’t engaged while cocking. If that spring is working in the Baldwin gun, then I’d say his finger was the culprit. None of which would matter, but for the live ammo.
Correct. A decision was made to bank on the pre-release notoriety. The decent thing would have been to cancel production. So of course, he doubles-down.
However, the pistol has been charged, convicted and put in prison.
“Been a long time but as is illustrated by the phrase “going off half-cocked” as you pull back on a revolver trigger, before it locks, if your thumb slips the hammer will slam down and possibly fire the round.”
There’s a report available from testing of the actual pistol. It has the answer for you. Short version: They were unable to get the pistol to fire without pulling the trigger.
