new research shows Recent research makes it clear that any amount of drinking can be detrimental. Here’s why you may want to cut down on your consumption beyond dry January.
Sorry to be a buzz-kill, but that nightly glass or two of wine is not improving your health. After decades of confusing and sometimes contradictory research (too much alcohol is bad for you but a little bit is good; some types of alcohol are better for you than others; just kidding, it’s all bad), the picture is becoming clearer: Even small amounts of alcohol can have health consequences.
Research published in November revealed that between 2015 and 2019, excessive alcohol use resulted in roughly 140,000 deaths per year in the United States. About 40 per cent of those deaths had acute causes, like car crashes, poisonings and homicides. But the majority were caused by chronic conditions attributed to alcohol, such as liver disease, cancer and heart disease.
When experts talk about the dire health consequences linked to excessive alcohol use, people often assume that it’s directed at individuals who have an alcohol use disorder. But the health risks from drinking can come from moderate consumption as well.

Yep. It was definitely a different time back then when we had good street-level drugs that were affordable and didn't kill you.
And the chicks would absolutely drop their panties for a few lines.

I don't think that was alcohol-related, LOL.
Does that include I Tim. 5:23: Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.

They weren’t drunk cause the wine and beer they drank was watered down.
Again, that was because fermenting helped eliminate infectious agents. They didn’t know about boiling water.
Yeesh, that’s a good reason to drink, a lot.
Good point.

But it’s not the vax.
I don’t drink to forget.
I drink to remember.
Haven’t you learned anything from scouts or just camping?
Excessive oxygen can be poisonous too so what, we’re supposed to stop inhaling cuz we might die of oxygen poisoning?
Two places “they” do not want people to gather together is churches and bars. Too much information is exchanged, and too many people find others that are like-minded thus realizing they are not the only ones who feel the way they do.
Just like during their high points during the pandemic, they shut down both bars and churches. You have to ask yourself why when protesting for “approved” causes was quite okay. Gathering together with like-minded was fine for one narrative, but not for the other.
No. And you are remiss in exegetics.
