The most “Earth-like” planet ever discovered orbits an identical star at relatively close to the same orbit and is almost exactly the same size and mass as Earth. It is called Venus. I suspect that most “Earth-like” exoplanets are actually more Venus-like, Mars-like or Mercury-like.
There are other factors, such as having a molten iron core and resulting magnetic field and having a large moon, that are probably just as important to the development of life as a planet’s size, mass and the distance that it orbits around its star.

People making stuff up because it sounds good. They really have no concrete evidence, just lots of conjecture based on “readings” from equipment.and they can’t be proven wrong so they through out conjecture like it’s fact, it’s better for their budget.

At a “few hundred degrees warmer” than earth, no liquid water on the surface.

We’ve for John Kerry telling us that We’re reaching Armageddon because the earth is reaching one and a half degrees warmer, but the article says that this earth-like planet is ‘only’ several hundred degrees warmer??

Red dwarf stars are poor contenders for habitable worlds. You have to get close to recieve enough light. That means your planet gets whipped by solar flares every now and then.
You can imagine the beauracrats on such a world:
We had a nice atmosphere all set up then this solar flare hit and blasted it all into space! We are gonna need a few more trillion dollars... again!

“...whips around its star in only two days.”
New Year’s Day every two days, that could get tiresome.
