As a fat person, I hate the first few weeks of January with a fiery passion.
Following every holiday season, there’s seemingly no escape from the weight loss industrial complex. Social media is inundated with weight loss ads, people are constantly posting fitness goals, and gyms are in your face talking about “beach bods.” The entire world embraces the disordered eating I worked so hard to escape while gleefully saying, “Your body shouldn’t exist.” To be honest, the world does a good job of that year-round but really cranks it up a notch this time of year.

My employer supposedly loves DIE. As the article mentioned, the company imposed a wellness program on the workers including charging different health insurance premiums for workers based on Body Mass Index. The company requires workers to provide body measurements, for example, size of waist.
In this country health is correlated with socioeconomic so it is the workers on the lower rung who end up paying more.
I find the article another tedious example of a group wanting to jump on the woke band wagon. The writer does make a point of hoisting woke companies on their own petard.
Fat furry trannies hit the Trifecta when it comes to inclusion.
You are welcome to a box of Twinkies I have left over from 20 years ago, but you are on your own for a safe space.

You will see some health issues begin to reverse, all from only your change—no special stuff needed, because you are helping your body make the fixes it was meant to provide for you.

The “diet industrial complex” includes Big Pharma, Big Food and corporate-funded “science”, all of which pushes their seed oils, sugar, GMO, low fat - high carb, blood pressure and cholesterol meds for all, and torturesome diet plans that are unsustainable .... it is powerful and entrenched and has led, among other things, to dummies like this author believing that her obesity is some kind of immutable condition granting her privileged status as a minority. Really pathetic.
It needs to be a really big safe space. XXXL with comfy seats and a fridge.

Obesity is going to cost you in so many ways. First your chance of death goes up by several hundred percent. But you will not likely die. You are far more likely to feel bad. Your joints will fail. Your skin and other organs will start to break down. You will be annoying to other people in many ways. You will be far less attractive to others.
You can lose weight easily. Start by not buying food.
