This was a good use of Ramadan subjects to identify intermittent fasting benefits.
I am surprised no one has liquids during the day, though. I wouldn’t normally think of fasting as meaning no liquids.

Sounds like a really bad idea, great way to get seriously dehydrated, which can lead to all sorts of problems. No food Omis one thing, no liquids is just asking for health problems.

Does Ramadan have a fixed date or does it fall different times of the years? Fasting during June in Alaska would be hell!

In a situation like that they would follow Mecca sunrise and sunset, adjusted for their time zone.

Agree, and good experiment, as they do it anyway, so might as well get some research value out of it. And, to no one’s surprise (other than the $3T medical community), once again, ideas from hundreds, or often thousands, of years ago, make more sense than our ‘enlightened’ (translated: totally corrupted) ‘experts’.

The secret to a long life is simple…
1) If it tastes good don’t eat it
2) look both ways before you cross the street
3) don’t get on the Clintons bad side
4) Don’t blow dry your hair in the bathtub
5) Don’t pump gasoline with a lit cigarette in your mouth
6) Don’t make a deal with Don Corleone
7) don’t play golf in a lightning storm
8) Don’t trust big Pharma
9) stay out of hospitals
And the most important…
10) fill in the blank Freeper

The only thing they said about persistence of the benefits was that one lasted for a week. It would ve interesting to see if the benefits last for a year (or more).

Yeah, I’m thinking I could set my alarm for a half hour before sunrise, just enough time to fry up a breakfast.

It falls at different times during the year. That’s because it is based on the lunar calendar not the solar calendar

Just to point this out, there is a higher rate of kidney failure among Middle Eastern men on average. Dehydrating yourself...over and over...wrecks the kidneys. Might be some logic on going to two meals a day, but it means breakfast has to be greater than normal to carry you through 12 hours....to dinner.

Fasting during June in Alaska would be hell!Yeah, I'd stick to doing it in January if I were one of them. LOL! Head for Fairbanks. What? Nothing from 11am to 3pm? Well... okay, I guess.
