Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin might have been a fraction of a second away from moving on to the next play. Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest Monday night when he collapsed on the field in Cincinnati, was administered CPR under life-or-death circumstances and hospitalized in critical condition after what one independent board-certified cardiologist saw as a collision at the time in the cardiac cycle when the heart is most vulnerable.
“That hit had to occur at a certain point in time that was only five milliseconds long,” said Dr. Marc Cohen, Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Newark-Beth Israel Medical Center. “If that hit occurred one millisecond after or before, this may not have happened.”
What looked like a routine (by NFL standards) tackle by Hamlin on Bengals receiver Tee Higgins resulted in Hamlin getting to his feet, adjusting his facemask and immediately falling onto his back as horrified players from both sides watched trainers, paramedics and doctors assist with his breathing and restore his heartbeat.

“Myocarditis can increase the risk of ventricular arrhythmia and cardiac arrest in blunt force chest wall impacts.”
So what are the odds for this happening? Extrapolate this over the number of tackles and hits per year for every NFL, College, High School, Pop Warner game over the last 50 years and do the odds correspond?
BTW, the NFL lying about uptake numbers might explain why we haven’t seen more NFL players dropping like flies.
That... or received “vaccinations” and boosters that have been causing myocarditis in young men.
It was hard for unvaccinated players to keep it a secret, because there were different rules for them. That’s how Aaron Rodgers got outed. Baseball players were outed when they couldn’t go to Toronto games.
Naturally. The truth is something they must avoid at all costs.
Whether it was the vax or not, this young man had some underlying condition. At the very least it needs to be investigated without bias.
There was a time in its infancy as a league that the number of deaths and severe injury on the field almost ended the game. Rules regarding types of contact related to tackles, blocking and plays (the flying wedge) were eliminated to improve safety. This also promoted better gear for protection, which continues to this day.
I would say it is concerning if this results in the finding of myocarditis or some other inflammation state of his cardiovascular system prior to the collision. If this country was as interested in soccer as the rest of the world; it would be a different discussion. Funny, everyone ripped Aaron Rodgers for ‘faking’ his vaccine status and that is fair game for the NFL and sports talk - why is bringing up getting the experimental (and they have maintained the experimental status of the vaccine TODAY) vaccine as potential risk to players off limits?
Can someone load a meme of the ME in ‘Jaws’ on the ferry agreeing w the sleazy mayor that it was probable a boating accident
Another theory the doctor puts forth is that the aorta separated from the heart, like Princess Diana.
Not sure if he is connecting the right dots. Sincerely praying he makes a full recovery whatever the cause.
It would easy if the NFL permitted it and made an example out a select few to make everyone think the league was complying with the mandate.
It wasn’t, not for players.
And since it wasn’t, you wouldn’t expect the NFL to do anything to advertise that fact, would you.
It will be interesting to find out if he has Myocarditis.
Occam’s Razor suggests it’s a combination of the jabs and the hit.
A few dying is OK. We must protect Pfizer.
Assume Heart rate = 60 bpm
One beat = 1000ms
5/1000 = .005
So, only a 1/2 % of happening with every NFL hit on the right spot on the chest.
Sounds like it could be a fairly likely outcome each NFL season.
“You think they should make football illegal?”
I think parents should think real hard about allowing their kids to to play the ‘game’.
I still carry scars and endure pain from a football injury when I was 17.
Pro-vaccine and those that resist may never come up with the same answers. What is frustrating is that they can’t even agree on the right questions.
If this is true, then it’s the same odds-defying moment when Johnson nailed that bird with a pitch.
Actually, if there was any intellectual honesty left in the public discourse, we would all believe incidents like these involving jabbed persons to be caused by nothing but the jabs.
We would do this because these are experimental shots, and the safety protocol for experimental shots is that every death after receiving the jab is believed to be due to the jab until proven otherwise.
