The hit didn’t look excessive. I’d like to see his troponin levels and the echocardiogram; that is if he makes it. Preexisting myocardtis is a potential factor.

Intubation in such a situation is quite routine. Ambuing a Patient is temporary, the ventilator can do it much more efficiently.

Troponin levels and echocardiogram will be markedly abnormal after arrest with CPR no matter what the cause.

“ I’ve done CPR on prolly 100’s of people now....
Most die.

Might not die right away...but they die. ”

Some are irretrievably dead before CPR starts. I had a family member who died home in bed and was cold by the time it was noticed. Ambulance called and they performed CPR for a long time and the heart restarted and the relative was taken to the hospital. Official death was about a day later but the relative was brain dead at initial arrival at hospital.

Here is apparently another possible explanation:

However, of course, we have also seen a number of soccer players collapse just like this right after a similar burst of exertion on the field without any direct contact (and the contact was relatively mild in this case). Neither we nor the doc in this video can rule out the jabs at this point, given the big jump in such outcomes over the past 20+ months. But neither can we necessarily rule it in either.

I suspect they’ll have him on life support pending arrival of family members. I know his mother is with him now. The lack of news though, isn’t encouraging.

I had CPR done for a half hour twice in one day and survived with no ill effects.

Just as many others who are uneducated speak with certainty? Currently the nation is talking about this. There is excellent video of the incident. It is easy to formulate the diagnosis in this case. Nice try.

Absolutely. His outcome will be based on the quality of cpr and the time to defibrillation.

Yes. Specifically the blow (R depolarization) was during the relative refractory period (qt segment) which causes ventricular fibrillation and in rare cases Torsades.

Routine in cardiac arrest. It is more technically cardiorespiratory arrest. CPR classes teach ABC - airway / breathing / circulation. the airway is definitively secured and good respiration insured by intubation

I noticed that you took a half an hour to respond to me closer to when the incident happened, but you've been active on other threads throughout the duration.

Were you actually watching the game when it happened, or were you pinged to jump on a thread and start responding?

I am so tired of this every-sudden-illness-is-because-of-the-vaccine BS.

I didn’t know it but I had Afib when I got the vaccine - and the booster!

Please just stop your anti-vaccine BS!

You’re making FR folks look like a bunch of idiots!

Please stop!
