The Poseidon Adventure would look very cheesy today. It didn’t date very well.

Maureen McGovern’s “The Morning After” is on my personal play list. Pretty serious cast. I saw it at 9 years old in the theatre, thought it was okay, and have had no desire to see it again. Another one of those water stories.

Strange, I saw a show recently about that movie and how one of the female characters had to gain a significant amount of weight to get the part.

"Strange Days"(1995), written by James Cameron, directed by then-wife Kathryn Bigelow. Ralph (Rafe?) Fiennes is a seedy ex-cop selling virtual reality experiences captured on digital media. He and his "Kato-esque" limo driver Angela Bassett are caught up in events surrounding the killing of a rap star right before the Y2K millennium.
Fiennes seems incapable of turning in a bad performance. That same year he played the soul-less bastard Nazi in "Schindler's List".

Not really a movie but leading up to New Year’s 2000, the X-Files and they spin-off series Millennium had a couple overlap episodes that fed right into the Y2K zeitgeist of the time.

I was in Jr. High School when this came out. The girl in red hot pants gave reason to watch it twice.

Saw it last night back in 1972.
If anyone is interested the movie DAYLIGHT with Sylvester Stallone uses the same plot but under the NY river.
