COPD restricts exercise
“Liquid Peplacement Products”
Yeah, no, I’m not going to be able to help you.
Can you make your own shakes from fruits, veggies and protein powder????
Ensure is the only one I am aware of,
This is gonna be a good one me thinks....
There is no replacement for liquid.
ALL liquids are for pee-placement.
India Pale Ale is proven. Not strong enough? Wild Turkey 101 but alcohol has a tendency to dry you out which makes you want to drink MORE. Don’t get caught in that loop. Lastly we come to water. I know, I know. Food and water. Well, a person can live on it if you call that living. Sorry, what was the question again , , ,
We’d like to help. But put yourself in our shoes. We know nothing about your condition. Now try again - what is your issue and what do you think you are looking for?
Beer
Are you asking for a stool softener?
Try Hydrogen Dioxide....works wonders....
licorice
I would first start with paying attention to the preview button and look at what you're about to post.......
Failing to do so makes you look like an idiot and fair game to criticism such as mine.......
Metamucil and Miralax.
Those canned “meal replacement” products like Ensure are scarcely fit for human consumption, full of sugars, seed oils and chemicals. Why not make yourself some nourishing broth? You can add a bit of rice or barley or chopped veggies to change things up.
Not sure exactly what you need, but here’s my contribution:
Last year I had the flu (not Covid) and I sweated out a couple of pounds. Doctor recommended Pedialyte to replace lost electrolytes and stuff. Didn’t taste half bad and worked pretty good, too.
If I knew how to cook I would make bone broth. If I didn’t know how to cook I would buy some at the store, preferably organic heated up add some rice or barley or somesuch to give it some fiber and some substance. Bone broth will do wonders for your gut.
Then I would go get some kefir at the store. LifeWay brand is pretty inexpensive and you can get it with blueberries or strawberries or something like that and I would drink that because that has high vitamin K and different probiotics that are good for your gut. And I would also get some emergenC packets and mix them with water and drink them for electrolites and other vitamins.
I would take 500 mg of magnesium also. I would take zinc. I would take liquid vitamin B complex.
I don’t know what your illness is bad I think all these things would be very therapeutic for anyone who can’t eat solid foods at the moment.
Then I would eat a lot of yogurt with bananas and a little fiber, like wheat germ.
You should look into Traditional Chinese Medicine. Gastrointestinal peristalsis is a complex process, involving nerve activity in the enteric nervous system, muscular contractions in the intestine, immune function, ion concentrations in the intestinal lumen controlled through ion pumps which are partially nerve-controlled, and other factors, from the microbes growing there to the influx or excretion of water in the lumen.
It is very complex. Traditional Chinese Medicine spent thousands of years analyzing how it all worked, and how different herbs, as well as acupuncture, could be used to massage all of it. It is actually incredibly powerful, if you combine the herbs and the acupuncture, because it will identify which of maybe 50-60 causes could be behind it, and it will often have a great cure for that specific cause.
Go on Google or yelp, and look for local TCM practitioners. Look for Chinese trained, if possible, look for both acupuncture and herbs in the same practitioner, and then look at the reviews, and try a few, until you find one which helps. I can guarantee you, one of them can help you.
If you try to change your diet, you are taking an already weak system, and just weakening it further.
