A Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, liquor store employee named Ta Leia Thomas, also known as Ace, is being praised for her touching act of kindness.
The moment was captured on camera: A man was digging through the trash before putting boxes on his feet because he had no shoes, WCCO reported Saturday.
When Thomas saw what was happening, she knew exactly what to do and removed her own shoes, right there in the doorway of Brooklyn Center Liquor.
“This was not just a regular old pair of shoes. Ace, being a Minnesota Vikings fan, had on her favorite pair of purple Nike Air Jordans which she gave to the man with zero hesitation. This is a true example of empathy, compassion, and holiday cheer. We can all appreciate a story like this during the holiday season,” the store told followers in an online post Wednesday.
“We applaud Ace for her selflessness and her willingness to help those in need!” the post continued.
Thomas’ kind heart guided her decision, and she said the man told her no one would ever have given him such a gift.
“And I said, ‘Well I’m not everybody.’ And he was like. ‘Thank you so much,’ and I see him walking away and he’s walking away with pride,” she continued.
Even though it was her favorite pair of shoes, Thomas said she did not mind.

Correct.
And after they’re sold, he’ll come back again and attack her for not giving him a second handout.
The moment was captured on camera:
He’ll sell them for a fifth or some dope or get his ass kicked by some fellow “bros” and they’ll take them.
I thought I was poor because I had no shoes. Until I saw a man with no feet.
And I’m thinking, maybe he can give me his old shoes cause he doesn’t need them.
I worked in a school in a “distressed” area - even though the kids had the latest iPhones and ear pods.
They and their families would then tell us they couldn’t afford shoes or other basic necessities, expecting the school to buy these things for them.
Our based African American nurse would tell them that shoes were available at the local .99 cent store and to go there with their sob stories.

I applaud this lady’s humanity. But yeah, you do have a point.
I’m no fan of todays woke Salvation Army. But the SA always believed that handouts were counter-productive because they led to a dependency of one sort or another. And that’s true whether you’re handing out free shoes or dollar bills.
What should that lady have done differently in this particular circumstance? I really don’t have a good answer there.
The worker was kind.
Who buys shoes from a dirty bum?
Will they split the GoFund me loot? (And what up with that newscaster? Tranny?)
Don’t criticize a man until you’ve walked a mile in his shoes. Then you can say whatever you want, because you’ll have a mile head start and he won’t have any shoes.

It was videoed drama.
Who buy shoes from a dirty old man? Heck if he keeps them they will steal them from him. What is the likely hood that they even fit?
I also question the use of the word pride. Pride used to have a much better meaning. According to the article, pride comes from free stuff?
That’s good.
Selfie “charity.”
I’ve never been a homeless bum, but I assume it doesn’t take much to lift their spirits.
Of course the super crazy might bite and rape you…
...well at least he didn’t walk into a sports store, pick the most expensive in his size nd walk out without paying
Sadly, the man will probably be killed by some young thugs, who want the shoes.

How do you help people? Free stuff?
That’s sounds very nice, like something Jesus would do, except, Jesus would probably have been wearing Man Sized sandals, not petite size 5 Mauve Espadrilles. But the thought was nice.
I’m not giving my Danner boots to anybody. And I doubt I’ll be robbed/killed for them.
