“Manhattanites are actually the ones causing this damage to themselves,” New York City Councilman Joe Borelli said Monday, commenting on the skyrocketing crime in his city.
In an appearance on Fox & Friends First, Borelli offered an explanation for why New York City crime is up 27.6% and subway felonies are up 40% from last year.
Borelli called the city’s crime problem self-inflicted, because NYC overwhelming elected a soft-on-crime district attorney, Alvin Bragg, who campaigned on a promise to prosecute fewer law-breakers:
“Unfortunately, New Yorkers are learning that you get what you deserve.
“They overwhelming elected this guy, Alvin Bragg, who promised on day one to do exactly what he was doing.
“He’s not lying, he’s not hiding. He’s not shameful of how he wants to treat this office. And New Yorkers overwhelmingly elected him.”
What’s more, Borelli said, voters elected Democrat Kathy Hochul as governor, even though her opponent, Republican Lee Zeldin, campaigned on a pledge to oust Bragg, in favor of a district attorney willing to enforce the city’s laws and protect its citizens:

There could be an enormous amount of cheating going on in NYC.
People who work there and put up with this crime don’t vote there, they vote in Suffolk, Nassau, westchester and in New Jersey. So there’s that. Long Island and upstate went red It was a red wave.

Hard to have any sympathy for both the victims and the cops. Cops are liberal too, often going after the conservative protestors while taking a knee with BLM. Victims vote in the bast@!@# politicians too.
