Good morning everyone. Some weeks ago, I posted on the Daily Mail website that Ann Heche basically got what she deserved for being a drug user and ending up wrecking her car and dying from the burns suffered. I got a message saying I was permanently banned from posting on the website.
I have been so busy at work that I haven't had time to respond here to the bunch over there. So, DM, you don't like what I have to write? You thought that no response would be possible since you banned me from the site. Well, you were wrong. You were completely woke and wrong to ban me from posting (not that it matters much anyway) because people DO suffer consequences for living incorrectly and unfortunately frequently many others have to suffer because of the bad decisions made by people (look what's happening to us here in the U.S. because of the Biden administration). When I've made bad decisions, I have had to live with the consequences and am still living with the consequences of some bad decisions to this day.
Ann Heche DIED BECAUSE OF THE BAD LIFE DECISIONS SHE MADE. If that ruffles your feathers, well, so be it. My moniker there was Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin just like it is here. You folks at DM will NOT be able to control the world through your censorship of free speech. It's not going to happen. Whoever censored me should be made to write an apology and reinstate my posting privileges in order to educate people on what is right and wrong.
Read my posts here over the past 24 years and see where I was wrong in my comments and predictions about problems we would face. You'll be surprised.
Just like I told students in school, "I can be dead and gone and what I have to say will STILL be the truth." Come get some.
I appreciate your comment. The overall "...poor Ann Heche, boo hoo..." stuff got to me. One tries to do what is right and is eviscerated socially for it and then someone does the foolish things she did and huge numbers of people feel sorry for her. Something is not right there. No apologies.
That’s the molehill you chose to die on?
I am not shocked, just responded here where someone on the staff there will read it. Cowards. Come and talk to me face to face and tell me you don't like it. I need to have an opportunity to respond to the criticism. No apologies.
“Did she choose to be abused as a child?”
We all have our demons. Making proper choices is how they are defeated.
VERY eloquently written. Spot on. Saw this in its totality when I taught in the public schools. They are wrecking society and flaming everyone trying to stop it. Come get some.
Very good quote. Like that, and, it is also true. I will take that to heart.
The real censorship to me is when an entity holds itself out as a media platform for all comers and you say something that is offensive and many would consider insensitive and the platform deletes it and bans you. Newspapers are not platforms
for all comers. They have limited space and I would expect that they would exercise their discretion in what will be published there. However, because they may not like what you wrote one time, that should not foreclose your less insensitive rantings from being considered in the future.
If you knew what I went through before being adopted at a young age, you would scream. However, Biblical values taught to me by my WWII vet father have allowed me to be a functioning part of society and not a drug addict, criminal or murderer. He and mom were no excuses people. It is about time we start going back to holding to the truth, more so than worrying about hurt feelings.
You had the choice to not badmouth a dead person that was abused as a child,
and you chose otherwise.
Mentally ill people often don’t have the choice, thus mentally ill.
Luckily your crap doesn’t stink, so you’re all good.
But they don’t care. It’s why I quit all forums/SM except FR.
lolol
Actually, I don’t. It took weeks to finally write this.
Some hills aren’t to high and some hills
turn into hollows. But life goes on...
Having an opinion is not the problem. Knowing when to give it, or not, in an otherwise attempt to be civil is the problem.
I try this on occasion. Work hard and Be kind.
“Luckily your crap doesn’t stink, so you’re all good.”
I’m so relieved! :)
Anne Heche was an alcoholic
She embraced acting, as many who are exposed to trauma do as a means of escaping their horrific situations. She apparently self-medicated as many child trauma victims also do.
Her death is more a reflection of the failure of others than of her own. She was a damaged as a child and didn't deserve what was done to her. Her tragic inability to overcome it is not something to fault her for. She tried; many don't, shutting down that voice deep down telling themselves there's something wrong.
How would I have lived in if in her shoes?
Lol
Nice to see a reasonable person here
Thank you Pete
Many here can be so heartless and then gloat over it and fist pump
Never understood that
Who deserves what is generallly speaking up to the lord not us
We’re loaded with them
