Once they get beyond the niche market and must sell to the general population, this company will collapse. The limited range, low battery life expectations, vulnerability to fire after wear and tear, high repair costs, will doom this product. Nobody who really depends on a pickup for their economic well being will buy this product.

Funniest commercial I've seen in a while:

The Chevy EV Denali.
It's the Denali of EVs.

It appears that grille manufacturers have a serious production supply problem. Or have the grille manufacturers gone bankrupt?

Foxconn manufactures electronic products for major American, Canadian, Chinese, Finnish, and Japanese companies. Notable products manufactured by Foxconn include the BlackBerry, iPad, iPhone, iPod, Kindle, all Nintendo gaming systems since the GameCube (except subsequent Nintendo DS models), Nokia devices, Sony devices (including the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 gaming consoles), Google Pixel devices, Xiaomi devices, every successor to Microsoft's first Xbox console, and several CPU sockets, including the TR4 CPU socket on some motherboards. As of 2012, Foxconn factories manufactured an estimated 40% of all consumer electronics sold worldwide.

Pretty amazing Taiwanese company. Between Foxconn and TMC (the chip manufacturer), Taiwan has a ridiculously outsized influence on world manufacturing.

I wish them luck, for my neighbors over in Ohio sake…

If it functions as a decent fleet vehicle should find a market

I love all these trucks with plush seating for the family and hardly any bed!

I was going to buy a Chevy Avalanche with the longer 3’ bed option to stow a bag of organic groceries, but opted instead for the new Ford model, with 2.5’ bed so I can haul a six-pack of peach wine coolers on the weekends.

I enjoy scrolling through the internet on my wi-fi enabled flat-screen, checking out the ads for Lucchese suede cowboy boots while I listen to hip-hop remixes of Deana Carter tracks.

Looking at a lift kit option. Already got the motion-sensor enabled LED work / disco tactical light bar. A man and his truck!

The last generation to know the feel of shifting gears and the sound of the engine. Drove a 49 Chevy truck for many years... regretfully I sold it.

Homologation (Greek homologeo, ὁμολογέω, “to agree”) is the granting of approval by an official authority. This may be a court of law, a government department, or an academic or professional body, any of which would normally work from a set of rules or standards to determine whether such approval should be given. The word may be considered very roughly synonymous with accreditation, and in fact in French and Spanish[1] may be used with regard to academic degrees (see apostille). Certification is another possible synonym, while to homologate is the infinitive verb form.

In today’s marketplace, for instance, products must often be homologated by some public agency to assure that they meet standards for such things as safety and environmental impact. A court action may also sometimes be homologated by a judicial authority before it can proceed, and the term has a precise legal meaning in the judicial codes of some countries.

The equivalent process of testing and certification for conformance to technical standards is usually known as type approval in English-language jurisdictions.

Another usage pertains to the biological sciences, where it may describe the similarities used to assign organisms to the same family or taxon, similarities they have jointly inherited from a common ancestor.

Well, well. I am glad to see that there is not only homologation, but full homologation.

In America, the largest homologation is I beleive San Faancisco but I might be wrong.

The real disruptor Pickup is being made in Texas

I can fill up my Ram 1500 and put a ton in the bed and drive 500 miles. I can refill the tank in about 5 minutes and turn the key and drive another 500 miles.

When an EV can do this and is COST EFFECTIVE in price and matainence I would consider an EV truck. I can actually see a use for an EV car with limited range of say 150 miles for my local shopping provided it is COST EVECTIVE.

That is a “fugly” looking truck. If I may hark back to the Ford Edisel, it was “fugly” on the outside and “fugly” engineering. Aside from that it was great, LOL.

Ford also screwed up with the Mustang. They made a great “Pony Car” and then decided to “improve” it. Today it is a very expensive car with outstanding performance but expensive and thus lost the lower end of market due to cost. It is a great car. They should have kept it simple with a big ass engine thus affordable. Circa 1966 some kids in high school had a pony that their parents could afford. They can no longer afford this today.

“KISS” Keep it simple stupid.
