Ok I have swelling legs - they are swollen about 7-12%.
After all the snark it is nice to see someone who shows a profound concern for in Laz’s well-being and offers him the advice and tough love that he needs.
Walk an hour a day if you are able.
If not ride a bike an hour a day.
I had shooting pains in my foot once. I hiked the mile out off the mountain.
.357 holes hurt
Thanks….I am on so many meds I get confused.
.
I did that too. Lucked out because of heavy rain gear, pants & long johns. I too noticed some blood. Hiking out of the woods that time was much better than the previous incident.
But exactly. He's already got the swelling, infrequent as it must be.
Hopefully, that’s not the case. It sure was with my Mother, though.
Well certainly don’t ask Anthony Fauci.
...but NOT headaches.
I hope you are ok. You have not answered your own thread in more than 100 posts.
As it is, if you are in pain as well. Could very well be blood clotting. I assume this happened rather suddenly.
Hope you are checking it out.
Swollen legs may or may not be a health problem. My very healthy mother had them and just got in bed and propped her legs up on the headboard for an hour at a time. If headboard isn’t padded, just put a pillow on it.
If you’re athletic, get on floor and elevate legs to couch or chair cushions.
Get to a doctor asap! A year ago my left leg swelled up quite a bit. I happened to have an appointment with my orthopedic specialist at that time.He took one look at my leg and told me to go to the ER immediately. At the ER they performed an ultrasound and determined that I had DVT.I’ve been on 20 MG of Xarelto daily and have been fine ever since.
Yeah, unfortunately it can be deadly. Any unexplained blisters on your legs too??
With unexplained blisters it is a sure sure sign of edema. I went through it last year, Lasix is a miracle drug, yet surprisingly cheap. Turned out I had congestive heart failure, which then caused atrial fibrillation, but the only symptom was swelling and blisters in my lower extremities and what I thought was shortness of breath. If I had gotten on the lasix quickly I’d have avoided months of suffering.
That’s not Red Green ;-)
If you press your finger into your ankle, does the imprint remain? If so, that’s pitting edema, indicating likely kidney and/or heart issues. If your eyes and face swell overnight when you lie down, that increases the chances that it’s renal.
See your doctor ASAP.
You can temporarily relieve the swelling with TED stockings or OTC diuretics if your health allows.
If it happened in past 72 hours, doctor, now.
My doctor says it is because I love and eat salt!
Mears, are you taking another drug, perhaps an ACE-Inhibitor?
Eliquis doesn’t seem to have leg swelling as an issue.
Don’t wait to call your doctor. Call 911 or have someone take you to the ER immediately. Your BP may be extremely elevated and you could be having a mild stroke or at very high risk of having one. Your BP needs to be brought down immediately.
Donate blood
They use to call it bleeding.
Get rid of a pint and make the body make more.
Meanwhile, move more and eateat less
