I've been becoming less and less enchanted with the sniveling cowards that have infiltrated Breitbart News over the last year.
Mind you, my comments aren't being removed for being offensive. Some clearly are, and I'd understand that. Instead, it seems like they're simply delaying the presence so they can hide behind Section 230—"We're not a publisher, we ultimately allowed the comment."—but we all know darn well that they're soft censoring.
Two questions:
1—Has anyone else had the soft censoring?
2—Is Breitbart going flaccid?
I have been curious about their tone lately. Not conservative, and given the name of the organization, quite odd.
Breitbart stopped being remotely conservative when Andrew Breitbart died.
I agree it became less conservative, but....lately, my perception was that it was FAR less conservative.
I got tired of Brietbart when 90% of their “reports” were about a C level celebrity saying something off color about Trump.
I dropped Breitbart not long after Drudge. (Long ago…)
Almost like Fox News - faux conservatives.
Prefer Epoch Times by far!
What articles have they put out that were not conservative? I stopped reading them because they seemed very tabloid so I haven’t seen what you’re talking about.
I don’t know why Breitbart reports on that nonsense. So many entertainers and athletes mistakenly believe I care about their opinions, when in reality I’ve got bigger fish to fry.
I noticed it stopped being “hardcore” after Bannon left.
Even if a celeb agreed with me I wouldn’t really care what they had to say
I noticed Breitbart started going squishy around the 2020 election, specifically, in regard to Alex Marlowe’s show on SiriusXM:
They totally deny anything fishy went on with that election and won’t even investigate it. They admit the cheat-by-mail ‘legal cheating’ stuff, but won’t even entertain the idea of anything beyond that.
They are 100% pro-vax and won’t discuss alternatives to that narrative.
And I don’t even think they covered the arrest of Catherine Engelbrecht at all. And considering Alex had her on the show numerous times, I thought that was pretty weird.
Bottom line, I think they’ve been slowly dragged into the same orbit as Drudge, etc. in an effort to maintain a revenue stream and ‘respectability’.
Yes, I believe that it is someone moderating at Breitbart, not Disqus as I haven’t encountered the behaviors you describe anywhere except Breitbart.
I swear, Breitbart must be on the take as they fill space with news and views from third-rate Hollywood types who are about as welcome as a dose of clap.
I don’t visit the site, but read linked articles from FR, and it is a general type of thing.
Yes. Noticed the trend towards the New Normal.
Thank you one and all. Nice to know I’m not the only one feeling this way. The Mrs. often tells me I’ve too much tinfoil…so I asked, and see now I don’t—on this.
This.
Breitbart was a great site with maroon colors. Then Breitbats moved to orange and black colors. That’s when I noticed a decrease in patriotism. Problem: the bright writers who are special and belong to the group “loved by God the most” are very reluctant to support Christian leaders like Trump. Thus, Breitbart is like Fox, the Hill, etc., and boring.
See my long standing tagline.
