Nike announced on Friday that it has suspended its relationship with the Nets star in the wake of his promotion of an anti-Semitic film and book on social media. The company also said it will no longer launch the latest iteration of Irving’s shoe, the Kyrie 8.
“At Nike, we believe there is no place for hate speech and we condemn any form of antisemitism,” Nike said in a statement. “To that end, we’ve made the decision to suspend our relationship with Kyrie Irving effective immediately.
“We are deeply saddened and disappointed by the situation and its impact on everyone.”

Kyrie Irving is a first-class f*ck-up. And the Nets and the NBA are fed up with him. Finally.
All this because he posted a link on Twitter to a movie available on Amazon Prime. Why are they going after him and not Amazon?
The guy should get a Presidential Medal of Freedom just for resisting the outrageous COVID vaccine mandate in New York City last year … at great personal expense, I would add.

Exactly. So Amazon has the freedom to put this film out and people have the option of watching it and coming to their own conclusions, but Irving only tweets out a link to the film and comes under the pressing guilt of allegedly being Anti-Semetic, did anyone ask if if he felt that way and so what if he does, plenty of Atheists out there who hate Christians and Jews.
I think Kyrie is into that Black Hebrew stuff, but I haven’t heard him say anything negative about Jews. Just seem odd that they are going out of their way to punish him when the movie itself is on Amazon Prime, why not hassle Bezos if they have an issue with it?
He’ll be back on the NBA court with someone else next year...
He is certainly no worse than the average NBA player...
Months ago actor Yaphett Koto died, in his obit it stated that he was an African Jew and a practicing one. So if Irving is actually into that then he really can’t be Anti-Semetic.

He could always sign with Adidas - they’re supposedly named after a Nazi Party member.
The NBA is currently negotiating a broadcast deal with Amazon Prime.

Jewish and semitic are not always interchangeble.
Meanwhile, fingerpointing remains a notion for the win of power.
When truth in love, forgiveness is the win.
I’m not talking about the NBA, I’m asking why these Jewish groups are going after him instead of taking their concerns to Amazon, just seem very odd to me.
Well, I suspended my relationship with Nike years ago. Would not be caught dead wearing their stuff.
Michael Vick was the last straw for me. Dog fighting and animal cruelty was fine with Nike but a link to a movie isn’t? PC sure is funny sometimes.
