https://sonar21.com/why-didnt-russia-do-this-sooner/

The war in Ukraine clearly has entered a new phase, with Ukraine failing to press its offensive and Russia solidifying its lines of defense and launching counter attacks that are pushing Ukraine out of key strategic areas in Donetsk. It appears that the combination of the murder of Darya Dugina, the sabotage of the Nordstream pipelines, the bombing of the Kerch bridge and the spoiled drone attack on Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in Sevastapol convinced the Russians to step up its military strikes to destroy critical electrical and energy infrastructure that they had previously left intact.

Yet, even while achieving success in systematically turning off the lights and heat throughout Ukraine, Russia is focusing on destroying transformers and key transmission installations rather than blow up nuclear, thermal and water power plants. If those sites are still intact, Russia will face an easier reconstruction task once Ukraine is defeated. It is easier to install new transformers and power lines than it is to build a new nuclear reactor. Right?

The Russian strikes reportedly have eliminated 50% of Ukraine’s ability to supply power and heat, which means life in Kiev, Lviv and Kharkiv will become unsustainable. We are not talking about the inconvenience of being unable to charge your cell phone or watch your favorite show on Netflix or keep your computer battery alive. The loss of power cuts off water supply and degrades the sewer system. As I noted in a previous piece, if your live four or more floors above ground level you will either have to carry buckets of water to the toilet or give up flushing. It also means no heat and the temperatures in Ukraine fall to near 0 Celsius at night. That would be tolerable if you have a fireplace (which most of the apartments in the urban areas do not have). With no radiant heat you must layer up just to avoid hypothermia.

Basic task like shopping require you dress as a cave explorer.

###

Here is the bottomline–Ukraine’s military position will continue to erode in the coming weeks while economic conditions in England and the rest of Europe will worsen. The latter will make it impossible to sustain political support to continue sending unlimited financial and military aid to Ukraine.

Mobilization in Russia failed

Mobilization in Russia has failed, and every second person who fled to Europe from conscription for war can be a provocateur.

“A million departed Russians could make a colossal revolution, overthrow Vladimir Putin and his Nazi regime.”

“InformNapalm” is a voluntary initiative aimed at providing a wide audience with information about Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. To inform foreign readers, the authors of the project translate the material into dozens of languages of the world, including Japanese and Chinese.

In an interview with the LRT radio program in Russian, the representative of the international voluntary organization spoke about his attitude towards Russians avoiding conscription, why mobilization failed and how the rhetoric of Russian propaganda during the war changed.

- What is your voluntary organization “InformNapalm” doing?

– We focus on research that is of the greatest importance for the military front, we analyze information related to the tactical and strategic operational tasks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: identification of command points, warehouses, weapons, ammunition storage bases, disclosure of personal data of commanders.

If we talk about the information war, then the Russians are currently abandoning aggressive rhetoric and focusing on the fact that not all Russians are bad and that not everything is so unambiguous. In addition, Russian agents are actively working in Europe, for example, Germany has stated that it can no longer accept Ukrainian refugees, but is ready to accept Russians fleeing mobilization. This is a policy of double standards, and it is very disgusting to observe such things.

When the war broke out in Ukraine, we entrusted Europe with protecting the most sacred thing we have – our women and children. Also popular at this time are statements about the futility of Ukrainian resistance and the cessation of assistance to Ukraine. The most interesting thing is that these theses are not new, they were used by Soviet propaganda during the Winter War (between the Soviet Union and Finland).

Now propagandists are trying to introduce into the information space a new idea of the huge number of black mercenaries fighting in Ukraine, as well as the private armies of Poland, Lithuania and Sweden. Russia has previously accused Ukraine of the possible use of chemical weapons, and now accuses Ukraine of daily shelling, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces simply would not be physically able to carry out. I can state only one thing – in the eighth year of the war, Ukraine wins against Russian propaganda.

– If we talk about mobilization in Russia, How do you assess the arguments of those who support those fleeing from conscription that everyone who leaves Russia is minus one soldier at the front?

- I think every second who goes to Europe can be a provocateur. There are more than one cases of drunk Russians insulting and beating Ukrainian women, and the authorities of Europe, especially Germany, are looking at this through their fingers. The fact that those fleeing military service are against the war is just empty words, because now they will carry the “Russian world” to Europe. If they were indeed against the war, they would have gone out long ago to protest against the current government. A million departed Russians could make a colossal revolution, overthrow V. Putin and his Nazi regime.

- How do you assess the reports of the movement of the nuclear column through Russian territory towards Ukraine?

- There is no panic in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We will continue to command our lands, ignoring nothing. In the world, this war is called the Russian-Ukrainian war, and we call it the war for the independence of Ukraine. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said very accurately – if Russia stops fighting, there will be no war, but if Ukraine stops fighting, there will be no Ukraine. This is a war for our survival. Our soldiers who came to kill us are annoyed by the very existence of Ukrainians as a nation. They perceive us as” inferior Russians”, as the lowest type of people who should serve them.

Alleged movement of Russian nuclear convoy captured / Rybar Telegram channel post stop shot

And don’t say that V is to blame for everything. Putin-he is a product of Russian culture. The result of Russian culture is the opinion that the inhabitants of the Caucasus are stupid churks, Ukrainians are khochols, who should obey them. Many are outraged by the fact that Ukrainians live better than people in the “Great Russian Empire”.

- How do you rate Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement that he will negotiate only with the new president of Russia?

- He does everything right. Dialogue with Ukraine can begin only if all occupied territories are liberated, Ukraine will receive reparations, and all war criminals will be extradited to an international tribunal.

– Why do you think Russian propaganda drew attention to violations of the mobilization process?

- Because mobilization in Russia failed. Failed to collect those 200 thousand. the people that were announced. All in a row and with total violations are taken, so that public discontent arises, so you need to find a scapegoat. Propagandists return to the old scenario – the Tsar is good, the nobility is bad. When the war did not touch every family, many Patriots, sitting on a warm sofa, shouted “for Russia”, and when it became necessary to go to war, many dissatisfied immediately appeared.

- How long will the successful Ukrainian counteroffensive continue and how long will the war last?

- The war will continue until we completely de-occupy all Ukrainian territories, including the Ukrainian city of Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea. Everything will depend on how the allies will support Ukraine in the fight against the enemy, help with weapons and ammunition.

Where is Kazan?

So you Putinistas are admitting that you are the evil empire engaged in terrorist acts, using civilians as human shields, targeting civilians and shelling a nuclear power plant?? Vlad is a 0 In late September the Russian government gave a list of 5,937 of their troops killed.

Wow, so if they lost only 5,937 troops, then

  1. Why mobilize 300,000??
  2. Why did they lose huge swathes of area to the east of Kharkiv
  3. Why are they being pushed back north of Kherson?
  4. Why are they trying to get Belarus involved?
Capitulate?

And the situation on 10th October

Ukraine is pushing Putin's army out of Ukraine slowly but surely. Why capitulate to you Nazis now?

There is zero reason to believe Russia is going to invade any nation and take it over against its wil

13th Jan 2022 https://freerepublic.com/focus/news/4029166/posts?page=8#8
Nonsense. There is no evidence Putin has any plans to invade and takeover countries against their will.

21st Jan 2022 https://freerepublic.com/focus/news/4031420/posts?page=48#48
The claim Russia is going to invade Ukraine has been nothing but propaganda from the start.

21st Jan 2022 https://freerepublic.com/focus/news/4031420/posts?page=49#49
Russia is not going to wage a brutal war with Ukraine. It’s been a lie from the start

24th Jan 2022 https://freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/4032190/posts?page=28#28
Putin is assuring us he has no further territorial ambitions in Europe beyond this one little slice of Ukraine heavily populated by Russians
I have no doubt that’s true. There is no way Putin wants to fight a bloody war with Ukraine. He’d perfectly happy with water flow being restored to Crimea and sanctions to be removed from the Nord 2 pipeline.

19th Feb 2022 https://freerepublic.com/focus/news/4039582/posts?page=112#112
You think Russia wants to invade nations in Eastern Europe and take them over against their will?

Why would he want to fight a series of bloody wars when Russia already has a declining population? Why would anyone think younger Russians, who are already complaining about mandatory military service, tolerate that? Why would he risk doing that and losing the ability to sell oil to Germany through the Nord 2 pipeline.

These kind of comments are ignorant. It’s 2022, not 1982.

19th Feb 2022 https://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/4039720/posts?page=29#29
So, given that, why would anyone in their right mind believe that Putin wants to start wars in Eastern Europe and take countries over against their will as millions of young Russians died in war?

22nd Feb https://freerepublic.com/focus/news/4040557/posts?page=31#31
I’d rather see Russia annex Ukraine (which is has no desire to do) than see $5 a gallon gasoline.

I wish the Russians would have come in to rid the nation of the rioters in 2020.

Russia is absolutely as free as the US and, freer, in many ways.

stop pretending we’re any freer than Russia

I pay $4 for an IPTV that streams from Russia

28th Jan 2022 https://freerepublic.com/focus/news/4033214/posts?page=21#21
I’d put up a welcome sign if Russia wants to invade the US

27th Feb 2022 https://freerepublic.com/focus/news/4041997/posts?page=41#41
President Putin picked up his chips, completely cleaning our President out. Vladimir got everything he really wanted. He went all in. Consider what he has accomplished. Putin had already absorbed Georgia and Crimea back into Mother Russia. Soon he will complete the annexation of those Russian-leaning eastern provinces and maybe the whole of Ukraine.

My predictions have been one helluva a lot more accurate than yours or your neocon buddies.

Let's settle, you gutless wonder. I am predicting that Russia will retain the areas they have annexed. Bet me otherwise. You'll never put your money where you mouth is.

You forget the one thing I've consistently predicted after the war began -- Russia will take everything east of Dnieper River and entire Black Sea coastline UNLESS Ukraine unconditionally surrenders. When you and your ilk are proven wrong about this war, you're going to want to find somewhere else to be. Because those of us that have been refuting your bullsh$t will never, ever forgot the Biden regime propaganda you've been spewing here.

“the reason why everyone either ignores you or makes fun of you”

You misunderstand. That is the true value of this Free Republic site for this re-evaluation process: providing the opportunity to evaluate evidence to find truth.

“your truth, my truth, and the real truth.”
The difference between objective and subjective truth is: version of the truth. The only truth which can be really trusted is objective truths, but these take work to find.
No aspersion cast.

The true value of this Free Republic site is to be constantly learning. This pursuit of knowledge is vital to know the line between what “we believe to be true” and “what is fundamentally true.”

The goal is to become an Independent Thinker.

So, try to consider many different views to determine which is based on truth and facts.

I have learned as much from people whose views are opposite mine. Not because the opposing view influenced or took control over my viewpoint, but instead these opposing views clarified and confirmed mine! :)
