A black bear broke into a cabin near downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee, on Saturday and attacked a man inside.
The bear broke through partially-locked French doors and went straight for the kitchen, according to CBS News. After the man found the bear in the kitchen, the bear attacked him.
The man escaped the attack and called 911 from inside a locked bedroom, CBS News reported. Family members then drove him to the hospital.

...
“The bear charged the man and swatted at him causing serious injuries to his face and the top of his head,” the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Association (TWRA) said in a news release, reported the Charlotte Observer. “The bear also scratched him across his back as he retreated to the bedroom where he locked himself in and called 911.”
Officials found a bear matching the man’s description on Sunday and euthanized it, reported the outlet. The bear was a 2-3-year-old female with no cubs

This is the second time in a week authorities have euthanized a black bear for attacking a person. Authorities killed another black bear after it mauled a woman in Leavenworth, Washington.
Bears seldom attack nicely
Never go to Gatlinburg without a large caliber handgun, preferably a 10 mm, 357 Mag, or 44 Mag.
I remember a fatal bear attack in Colorado probably 25-30 years ago, guy was either in a cabin or trailer. Might have been in South Park.
The most important thing to never keep around in bear country is powdered non-dairy creamer. Bear heroin, I’m told.
While in bear country keep and bear arms.
And don’t cure a deer carcass near the bunk house.

LOL! I live in the suburbs of a large midwestern city. Had a black bear a couple hundred yards from my house walking by. Could be a threat to foolish people trying to take a picture or children. It eventually just climbed a tree and got removed by animal control if I remember correctly.
Officials found a bear matching the man’s description . . . The bear was a 2-3-year-old female . . .

So the man was a trans, a 2-3 year old female
Now mountain lions, that’s another story…
Some guys from Indiana were Deer Hunting in Northern Wisconsin [Clam Lake] - they were hanging the Deer Carcasses in trees at the camp site - The Northern Wisconsin Bear Convention gathered to have a meal...
Thanks for that link.
This is the second time in a week that authorities have euthanized a black for attacking a person.
Hmmm...
Invitation to disaster.
Plus bears are brutes, by the definition of the word “brute”, so of course it was a brutal attack.
Yep.
Happens all the time.
Especially when bear is out of season.

My last encounter with a bear in the wild was many years ago, backpacking with a couple of friends in Yosemite National Park. We hiked down from White Wolf to Pate Valley and had just fixed dinner when a bear showed up—didn’t bother us but was interested in what we might have in our backpacks. During the night bears destroyed most of our food—there weren’t many places to hang it out of their reach (most of the trees in the area had lost their lower branches, probably from other people trying to hang their food from them). So what was meant to be an 8-day hike turned into a 3-day hike.
Too many bears, next the left is also importing Canadian huge, timber wolf packs.
A large black bear attacked and killed a logger in his small trailer, then returned at least three times to eat the body.. about 100 miles southwest of Denver, the bear killed Colin McClelland, 24, of Buena Vista, said Fremont County sheriff’s investigators.. the victim shot the bear with a bullet that grazed the animals ribcage, resulting in injury, not death. .~August , 1993.
Female bear believes shes entitled to man’s resources
“Officials found a bear matching the man’s description”
The bear looks like the man??? Was the bear impersonating a man? Huh?
lucky it wasn’t one room cabin
