A black bear broke into a cabin near downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee, on Saturday and attacked a man inside.
The bear broke through partially-locked French doors and went straight for the kitchen, according to CBS News. After the man found the bear in the kitchen, the bear attacked him.
The man escaped the attack and called 911 from inside a locked bedroom, CBS News reported. Family members then drove him to the hospital.

Whatever fanciful thoughts were playing in that bear’s head, it just had to act out on them.
The bear had a perfectly good opportunity to just walk away, but did it? NOOOOO! - just had to keep pushing the envelope, and trip the snare it put itself into.

Why do they say it’s a black bear. Shouldn’t they do the same as the do for humans doing violent things? Ignore the color and use the term “ursa youth?”

Laughed out loud! - yeah, that would work. I happen to like black bears - grizzlies not so much. Bears truly hate pepper spray and avoid it like the devil is chasing them. Cheers
