NASA has named 16 individuals to participate in the much-awaited study of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), or what are more commonly referred to as UFOs.
In June, the space agency announced that it had commissioned a panel to investigate UFOs or, as they have recently been rebranded, “unidentified aerial phenomena” (UAP). At the time, NASA officials said the independent study would get started in the fall, cost less than $100,000 and last about nine months from start to finish.
The team will begin the study Monday and is scheduled to spend nine months reviewing previous observations and determining how to analyze data on future events, according to NASA officials.
The study will not determine if past reports of UFOs were legitimate but will pave the way for understanding what observations will be needed in future events to better understand the phenomena.
“Exploring the unknown in space and the atmosphere is at the heart of who we are at NASA,” Thomas Zurbuchen, an associate administrator at NASA, said in a statement. “Understanding the data we have surrounding unidentified aerial phenomena is critical to helping us draw scientific conclusions about what is happening in our skies. Data is the language of scientists and makes the unexplainable, explainable.”
The 16 investigators come from a variety of fields, from astronomy to oceanography to computer science to journalism. The group of professionals also will include former NASA astronaut Scott Kelly.
Kelly served as a pilot of Space Shuttle Discovery and once held the record for spending the most days in space.

I’m sure you are right about it being even more complicated than he imagined. Biblical truths always are.
“I have wondered about that. Did the Muslim outreach end when Obama left office?”
I imagine Trump killed that instantly upon taking office, but I would have expected some kind of announcement.
“At least Muslims aren’t interested in how to hold orgies in zero gravity.”
Now that’s the kind of study group I would consider joining, as long as I got to select the other participants. ;-)
Chuck was good, but by no means the only one. There is Trey Smith, LA Marzuli, Gary Stearman (of Stearman aircraft fame) I D E Thomas, and others. 👍
Good grief. I was just thinking ‘Top Men’ and then about how the Condon Report screwed up everything.
Good one..! Thanks for that.
How much reading have you done regarding this? I see so much more than a military psyop.
As those who have invested much in such reading likely would.
The government decided decades ago that the public could not deal with the notion of civilizations “out there”. They based that conclusion on the reactions of people to various encounters. So, they purposely adopted coverups and deflections as SOP. I can see from reactions of people here on FR and other venues that their conclusion that people have psychological issues with the notion of ET contact is correct. I am not at all sure that their course of action was good.
I’m surprised they didn’t pick Travis Taylor from NASA MSFC for this committee.
He is working for AATIP.

I think was mentioned on Skinwalker.
Why am I not surprised that Robert Bigelow and his company was part of the original team?
Can any federal government agency even print up an agenda for less than $100,000?
Apparently ignorance is not only bliss. It is enlightenment.
It is my understanding that the metal health of those are the very people the coverups & obfuscations are designed to protect.
That would make a lot of sense. Hence the very slow drip, drip, drip to coddle the fragile ones.
The drip technique doesn’t seem to be working. I think a full-on disclosure would be the best approach. Half the people in this Nation are clearly insane already anyway.
Per Chris, it's coming and coming fast. And the government is just trying to stay ahead of it...or at least abreast.
They are afraid that there will be a dramatic loss of confidence in the government (as if there isn't already).
Are they the same people that counted the votes in 2020?.
Yup, all very easily explainable as a US military psyop. It was easy. All they had to do was build a time machine and go back over a thousand years and start planting stories and commissioning art. See? A few bucks here and there then Bobs your uncle.
All very simple really...
