PayPal is reportedly bribing $15 worth of vouchers to account holders to prevent them from canceling their accounts, that only tells you how bad the situation is.
The Gateway Pundit reported that PayPal will begin fining users $2,500 directly from their accounts if they are found to be spreading “misinformation” in its newly updated policy.

I assume spreading “fake news” about Ukraine, such as having avowed Nazis in their government, will also result in PayPal fining people $2500? Or questioning the need for lockdowns, etc.
But then PayPal is a PRIVATE company, so it’s ok with many here. Right? You can always use other providers, and if they all are answering to the Biden Administration, then you can start your own payment processing operation. Right?
So how far do we allow this degree of Fascism (corporations answering to government without question) to progress before we discover libertarian ideals only exist in Ann Rand’s novels, not in real life - as they create a vacuum that SOMEONE will fill, either our side or THEIR SIDE?

Just closed mine. They make you go in and remove “active” accounts. Those are accounts that you’ve used Paypal to pay sometime in the past. I had to delete those one at a time but once I was done I could close the account. :o)
Same here. It’s like playing Whackomole where the little gopher heads go up and down, just barely avoiding your mallet strike to end them. I rarely use that pay method anyway, since there is a service charge.

When I closed mine, I first removed all linked payment methods, then closed it.
All linked accounts were automatically closed.
I closed both my PayPal and my Venmo accounts this week. Their job is to process payments - not scan my social postings to arbitrarily decide I offended their wokeness and then reach into my private financial account and take $2,500!

We closed ours on Monday. It took about an hour. It would’ve been quicker except that we discovered a $700 charge that wasn’t legit.
It all got straightened out, and the guy wasn’t happy about us jumping ship. “Peggy” wasn’t helpful, but we finally connected with a rep who could speak English.
But it’s over.
Just closed mine and abandoned the 6 bucks remaining in the account. I don’t want them taking anything from my bank account ever. It was pretty easy to cancel despite what some are saying. Clicked settings, then account, then close account. Done.
Credit cards removed and account closed just now.

This is a boycott of PayPal but it's also that what was previously "out of sight - out of mind" is being addressed. Since PayPal has threatened their own users, the users are closing accounts they could have closed years ago but never bothered to.
Related, PayPal users are not PayPal's customers; they're part of the product being sold to retailers. The data behind the transactions is the other product PayPal sells.
Now, both the users and the retailers quickly became aware that they don't need PayPal at all.
Private companies follow the ‘rule’ that any organization not expressly right wing will, over time, become left wing.
Liberals infect corporations through the HR department. Human Resources is all about CRT and trans-humanism these days and they determine hiring practices. They then determine who advances by having ‘training sessions’ where CRT is pushed down the throats of workers. They have to engaged in communist-style admissions of guilt (the liberal version of original sin = original racism).
Then the corporate mission in changed to pushing the liberal agenda, regardless of the consequences.
Look at the homosexuality-promoting film that just lost 50 or 60 million. Will anyone be fired? Will there be any accountability? Unlikely.
There was a bizarre Gillete ad campaign a couple years ago (and I haven’t used of of their products since) about toxic masculinity. They paid someone to insult the buyers of the product?
The Marvel and DC folks now say anyone that doesn’t like their female (whatever that means these days) queer agenda pushing garbage is a “toxic fan” and even openly tells them to go away (Star Wars did this).
So you’re selling a product and the people paying your salary are the ones you’re both insulting and telling to stop buying your product? Huh?
But this is their religion. Their glob-queer agenda > making money or anything else.

Yes. A talking head on RAV said that PayPal is like a test run. All of the banks are on board to begin doing this as part of their ESG efforts.
Probably it’s a good idea to start researching now which banks, credit unions, etc., are on board with freedom.
Go to your account page, Go to Settings. Scroll down the page and you will find “Close my account” at the bottom left.
I cancelled mine immediately after I saw the thread here.
It took 5 minutes, they asked why and I told them I never use it and CENSORSHIP !!!!!
Im not surprised they’ve switched to obfuscated and tortuous and time consuming account closing protocols.
