Another day, another price hike for the popular electric Ford truck. Buyers of the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning can now expect to pay around $52,000, up another $5,000 over the most recent price jump. Taking into consideration some of the Lightning electric truck’s ownership costs, is this truck still a good buy?

I just keep emailing my local dealer every week offering 10 grand for one of their E-Transits. They have had 19 on the lot for nearly a year, but can’t keep the gas ones in stock. Figured I could drive it strait to the Mercedes dealer and trade it for a diesel sprinter.
My number one prerequisite for a truck purchase...can you lay a 4x8 sheet of plywood down in the bed.
The stories of EVs catching on fire in Florida is even better!
On the positive side, if power goes out in freezing conditions you can burn it and it will keep you really warm.

Only a fool or rich person would buy an electric vehicle with all their problems.
And to think people called the gas driven Ford Explorer the “Exploder”.
I do like my F150 twin-turbo SuperCrew XLT though. Added it to the stable and between it and my Nissan Frontier I should be good to go the distance now.
